Don't use a line return between them.

Without the spaces...

Note: if they're too large to fit the browser window side by side, the browser will stack them regardless of the code.

see I have this one pic I wanna add to my two, but everytime I add it it ends up on the bottom instead of besiders the eagle one

I want the Josua one on the bottom (sorry shoulda stated that in the beginning).

This is the pic I want on the right side of the eagle pic, but above the Josua one.

If its too large lemme know and I'll reduce it.

How many posts do you need before your sig appears?

It should appear immediately. There is no minimum post limit. I note that you have no sig entered. If you created one, you might have forgotten to save it.

How strange. It "saved" it just fine. And it shows in the cp. But when I come to the forum its gone. And when I go back to the cp again its gone from there too. Hmm ...

The "maximum filesize is 0."?

This is my sig ...

The problem may be that it's a PNG file. I've temporarily hosted a conversion to JPG on Photobucket. Try that.

Hmm.. yes. Thanks DrDoom, I guess that could be it. I was hosting it from my website. I have a simple "right click" image converter with my mouse. As a jpg it would lose its transparency on the corners and with gif it would lose too much quality. Besides I created it in PS as I also did with my avatar. Interesting. Whats the largest file size allowed?

Trying a smaller one now ... as I see it hasnt appeared in my previous posts even though it does seem to be working in my cp now.

Edit. Well it seems to accept this one. Thats a start.

Thanks guys :)

The problem with PNG transparency is that Internet Explorer has trouble with it (http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,1645331,00.asp) (5.5 and 6.0 -- 7.0 supposedly fixed it). Only the GIF transparency is universally supported.

I have no idea what the size limit for sig graphics is. Perhaps Suzie or Rhino can tell you.

The maximum size of your custom image is 500 by 100 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller).

The software only applies that limit to uploads, but it's still generally a good rule of thumb. We have discussed this issue before, mostly settling on a 200 x 200 pixel limit and allowing two images, with the option of a single image not to exceed 300 x 300. There is also the proviso that a longer, skinnier image can be posted beyond those limits as long as it doesn't exceed the total pixel amount (90,000 for a single image). We haven't published these restrictions, so it's not a hard and fast rule, per se, but we'll let you know if we think it's too big.

The graphic in post #9 is 290 x 90 pixels, and 35 KB (35,158 bytes).

Looks like the 35kb killed it. Although I have seen otheres using 50kb sigs here. Maybe it just doesnt like mine. :smash:

No, the 19.5 kb limit was for uploads, and that most often applies to avatars anyway. As noted, 90 kb is the limit for a single image. You're okay with that graphic. The jpg version Doc posted was only 20 kb anyway.
