NEW ORLEANS ( Aug. 31, 2005) -- There is only one certainty about the New Orleans Saints (http://www.nfl.com/teams/news/NO)' future: They will live and work out of the Marriott Riverwalk in San Antonio for a while.

Beyond that, question marks abound. It's highly unlikely they'll be able to hold their home opener Sept. 18 at the Superdome -- and they may not be able to play there at all this season after the stadium was ravaged by Hurricane Katrina.

So that first game against the New York Giants could be at the Alamodome in San Antonio. Or at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, La. Or even at Legion Field in Birmingham, Ala.

I heard on ESPN last night an interview they were conducting with one of the Saints wide receivers who grew up in New Orleans. His family is safe and has been moved. Coach Jim Haslet gave the team a couple of days off to make sure family is OK.

It won't likely happen but how kool would it be if the Saints played there season out in their Home away from home and won the Super Bowl? I'm not a Saints fan but I think that would be kool, even if it's about a 1,000:1 longshot.

On another note, Packer QB Brett Favre's family was OK too after their house was pretty much destroyed in Mississippi. He wanted to fly down to help but his wife told him that there was little he could do so why bother.

Alot of athletes in many sports have family that are affected.
