I am an American. I like the sound of that.
Buy my dad is half Italian. The rest I'm not sure of I think he's part English or French too. But those families have been in America since the 1600s or 1700s.
My mom's ancestry is part Swedish and the rest I'm not sure of. Again those families have been in America for hundreds of years.

I'm an American of Welsh, German, Polish, and Finnish ancestry. The Welsh part is most likely mixed with other Anglo-Saxon and God knows what. The Finnish part is most likely mixed with Mongolian.

Some members of my family incorrectly label me as german, norwegian, austrian, french and/or dutch and irish. I however do not consider myself or heritage associated with ANY of those countries and if I did I would need to hang myself. Atleast all the people with balls moved to this country and (left the) left(ists) from over there in europe to fester and ruin the aforementioned countries.
So im descended from the germans and irish from about 200 years ago that had minor balls still left, the part of me that french and or dutch must be where all my weaknesses come from.
100% full blooded American.

I'm American, born in Ft. Bragg, N.C.. Father is from Puerto Rico, mother is from Spain. Usually when asked about my ethnicity, I respond with "Russian". Their look of consternation amuses me.

American. Mother's ancestors came over as bond servants from England to get away from the religious persecution. Father was 1/2 Lithuanian.

Lol! :D That's cool, though.
I know I've already posted by ethnicity(german, scottish), but I'm actually a southern American redneck, with pride, by the grace of God. What can get better than that?

An American mutt! My Mom is 1/2 Irish, 1/2 French Canadian, so I'm 1/4 Irish, 1/4 French-Canadian (probably some Mohawk in there too, as my French ancestors came to Quebec in late 1500's-early 1600's), as well as a bit of Cherokee, Delaware, English and Scottish from my Dad.
With the exception of the Irish side, who came over before the Civil War in the mid-1800's, the rest of my European ancestors are documented to have come over from Scotland and England in the early to mid 1600's.

British, German, Dutch and Cherokee. The dominant family line and genetics are Dutch, leaving me with an unpronouncable last name. Everyone thinks I'm Irish because I'm a redhead and although I'm fair-skinned, I tan well. Still haven't figured that one out yet. Anywho, I'm told that physically, I'm a typical Scandinavian, whatever that means. Another oddity is that in my extended family, I'm the only registered Republican. Everyone else votes Democrat or on the rare ocassion, Independant. Yes, the holiday gatherings are REAL trying!

No
The guy across from me at work is from Lithuania and he has been in the states for 8 years. He has a flawless concept of the English language, with a cute little accent of course. I know folks from other countries who have been here 20 some years and still fumble for at least slang words. I have no idea how he does it.
Sorry, that Lithuanian thing caught me, just had to comment.

Just be happy that you don't have a Dutch name. My last name is composed of 5 consanants, 1 vowel and another optional vowel somewhere betwixt. Kinda like Lenny Dykstra's name but worse. Hey, at least my first name isn't something like Svensegaard! LOL!
