NH_Mike is a long-standing proponent to biodiesel, an alternative fuel for diesel engines made from vegetable oil. He is rabidly anti-petrol and believes global warming is fact...so he pushes biodiesel. Then he makes a wild claim to its edible properties....eeek! The stuff is most commonly made with methanol! DANGER TOXIN, CANNOT BE MADE NON-POISONIOUS!!!! The metabolic pathways for fatty acids starts with glycoloysis which in the case of biodiesel injestion, removes the methanol which is rapidly absorbed in the small intestine!!!!!! LD50 of MeOH is about 15 ml...a tablespoon of the pure stuff or about 1/8 cup of biodiesel!!
I have sparred with Mike several times on his wild ideas...he cannot see reality.
