One Team

For one of my many football shindigs this season, I am playing "last man standing." I pick one team a week who I know will win. I cannot pick that team any other week though. Once that team loses, I am out.

I picked MN! Everyone else probably picked NE ...but then those people can never pick them again.

I keep asking this, but does anyone else here do these pools?

Sorry Melz, I am not a follower of Pro-Football -- only tune in for the SuperBowl. I am a COLLEGE ball fan, myself . . . in particular (as if y'all didn't already know!) Florida State University Seminoles WHO, BTW, beat the Miami whirlwinds last night 10-7 (but who's bragging?).

If my Bubba watches a pro-game, I usually go for the ones with the best looking, uhhh, errr, uhhmmm, uniforms, LOL.

Hms I was watching that Noles game and thinking of you right along side me cheering !!! I was also trying to put my new bed together, so I had the TV on that game in two of three TV rooms. Didn't want to miss a thing, but we are in it together this year darlin!!! Woohoo go FSU and also..umm..go Denver Bronco's (sorry, I love the Denver Broncos)!!!!

Melz, you gonna laugh yourself silly at me -- I'm allergic to gambling. Nope, it's true. Even those stupid little one-armed bandits make me break out in hives (believe me, Bubba saw it first hand when we went on one of those day cruises and walked into the gambling area). I tell you this, because I guess it all stems from a "comfort level." I am EXTREMELY competitive. If I have even an inkling that I won't "win," I become agitated, LOL. SO, why again, am I telling you this . . . (here's the funny part). I can watch my husband's team play (Georgia Bulldogs), and just about any other college football team (I think it WAY superior to Pro, but that's just my humble opinion, LOL), but you let the SEMINOLES play, and I simply cannot watch the game myself, or I break out in hives, LOL.

The way we solved the problem? I get on the computer or go get in the tub with a book, while my Bubba and li'l Bubba watch the game. Down here where I am we have the Sunshine Network, which replays all Florida games late in the evening. If my team wins, my family tells me, and THEN I can watch the replay game, LOL.

Okay, yeah, I'm ridiculous. :smirky:

I'm in one we call them suicide pools. I picked the Redskins just to get them out of the way. I also think if you pick anyone who plays Miami you should be a winner.
