Hi, I'm new to FC.

The first thing I should mention is that I'm from iidb.org

The second thing I should mention is that I am not a "liberal", but I might look like one to you guys anyway, I don't know.

I'm not here to troll, per se. But I obviously disagree on a lot of issues.

So please tell me what I am and am not allowed to say here.

thanks

Hey, welcome!! I hope you enjoy this place. I've never been to iibd.org, but I do know that we've been getting a bunch of trolls from that place.

If you respect our views, then we will respect yours. We have several liberals here, so you won't feel left out.

BTW, click here (http://www.freeconservatives.com/vb/showthread.php?p=320914#post320914), it's the beginning of a way to say goodbye to trolls. Give us your input. :D

I am kind of from IIDB as well. You won't really find me anywhere but the "Media and Popular Culture" section. I was asked to join there by someone I knew from another forum, so it was not really a place I was looking for, or really wanted to participate in that much. The person who asked me to join was Cynical-Chick. Maybe you know her.

Hi, I'm new to FC.

Welcome.

The first thing I should mention is that I'm from iidb.org

We all had to come from someplace, I guess.

The second thing I should mention is that I am not a "liberal", but I might look like one to you guys anyway, I don't know.

Why would that matter? We have liberals who post here -- they remain (relatively :smirky: ) polite and enjoy the discussions. It's not your political affiliation, but your ACTIONS which will either be your acceptance or undoing.

I'm not here to troll, per se. But I obviously disagree on a lot of issues.

So are you, or aren't you? If you're here to start trouble, don't bother. Disagreement is not a prerequisite to banning -- trollish behavior, is.

So please tell me what I am and am not allowed to say here.

You're welcome.

No, I'm not here to cause trouble, but it's not up to me to decide if what I'm saying is trolling or not.

I will never directly insult anyone or do anything juvenile, but I also won't sugar-coat anything.

I would obviously appreciate a warning first if I'm doing something wrong.

I'm against all censorship. I would only ban someone if they literally spam the board, making it impossible to use, or put illegal stuff/porn. I would never ban someone just for saying something I don't like.

Are you implying that we (at FC) would?

A simple question

This is a question for the conservatives here who KNOW they are right and everyone who disagrees is wrong. (DrDoom, for one)

That's not a good way to begin, but I'll reserve judgment on your claim... for now.

Yes. Your rules state that you will ban someone for insulting Christianity.

Well, I don't know you, but your signature says that you are "always right". You could be joking, but I don't know you so I can't tell. I've only read about you on iidb, and it wasn't flattering.

The point is that it is just a question. I'm not implying anything by it.

Is there any other way I could have said it, that's not inappropriate?

I've only read about you on iidb, and it wasn't flattering. You cannot fathom the extent to which that knowledge elates me. To be the target of loathing by a gang of braindead heathen assholes is my calling in life.

Just so.

You are quite confusing.

You said this:

I will never directly insult anyone or do anything juvenile, but I also won't sugar-coat anything.

I would obviously appreciate a warning first if I'm doing something wrong.

IF you (REALLY) would never directly insult anyone or do anything juvenile (which I have a hard time believing, because 'never' is a big word to live up to), then of course, you have nothing to fear, even if you DON'T sugar-coat anything.

You have been given a warning . . . it's called FAQ's and POLICY. If you have read them, then you know how this board works, if you haven't (read them) I suggest you do. If you feel you have been treated unfairly, i.e. you kept to board policy but still were banned, you can PM or e-mail an Admin or Mod. Otherwise, I don't see the difficulty in participating here. Very RARELY do we ban after a couple of posts, and it is ONLY after the behavior/actions of the poster warrant such an action. If you feel that you cannot abide by the rules, or that you may "slip" by accident, perhaps you would be more comfortable posting elsewhere (different forum board).

I don't insult people, but I would not ban someone for insulting me.

Like I said, I would ONLY ban people for making it impossible for others to use the message board, but not for any idea they express not matter how vile.

Well, like I said, everything I say I would say in front of my mother. But this isn't my board and the rules are subjective which means that I can inadvertantly anger people.
