Pretty slow week for me. I can feel the cool air of fall creeping in. It's a welcome relief but I'm going to miss summer. Oh Pro Football starts this weekend. Yeah Baby!! Go Birds! Today is the anniversary of a day that will live in infamy. 911 was an awakening for American that brought us closer together in some respects but deepened the divide in others.
Now that B#tch Katrina has helped showed us how fragile our existence really is. The good news out of this last disaster is that the amount of dead in NO isn't going to be as big as first hyped by the news media and the Mayor. A prayer goes out to all those touched by Katrina and hope that they can piece their lives back together someday.

Taft never wanted to be President. He would rather have been Chief Justice, and after his presidency he became just that. Until well into the 1930's I believe. He must have officiated at the inaugurals of some of his sucessors. There was no President Franklin Buchanan, but there was a President James Buchanan. The fifteenth President (3/4/1857 - 3/3/1861). His birthday was in April however.

The reason I'm venting on these is I saw the blue Pro abortion Bracelets that PPH is selling. Also at a Five and Ten near me I saw a red Peace bracelet that all the proceeds go to the 5&10.
The magnetic Ribbons on cars supporting the troops are nice but know we have every other organization jumping onboard it kind of defeats the original intent. Mine would be black for Hollywood STFU awareness!

Have you ever seen those large Barbie heads, where little girls can pull the hair out, cut it, then pull it out again to do a different style? My head is a LOT like that -- my hair grows SO fast, I could probably supply enough for several wigs each month, LOL. Seriously, I usually end up cutting (trimming) my hair myself, because 1) I can't afford to have it cut because it grows so fast, and thick, long hair cuts cost more, and 2) I have to pay for haircuts for my kids so often.

Oh yes! I've had it done professionally a couple of times (prior to marriage & children, LOL), but later I tried to do it myself, and ended up turning my hair hooker-orange. It was hilarious! I kept it that way, just for kicks, until it grew out. Oh, and I used the temporary color dye to do mine and Bubba's hair for Valentine's Day one year -- you should have SEEN the looks on his friends' faces when they saw Bubba with Fire Engine Red Hair, LOL.

Yes, but only goldfish were in it. I did have a smaller tank with a Japanese Fighting Fish, but he didn't last long.
