I just watched the Ohio State v. San Diego State game. What was that? Does Troy Smith hate Ted Ginn's guts or something? Ted Ginn was wide open almost the ENTIRE time he was in and was only passed to once, maybe twice? God bless Antonio Pittman, he made some good runs but why did he keep getting the ball for runs into a surprisingly tough Aztec defense while Ginn was jumping up and down and waving his arms in open territory? The Bucks played a good, hard game against Texas last Saturday and today they looked like a bunch of pansies. Also, the yellow flags flying all over the place made it look like a high school game. Sheez! I love my Buckeyes but that was a REALLY UGLY game. I give credit to San Diego State, they played a pretty good game. Bucks really stunk it up.

:hissyfit: BC lost to FSU.

BC Eagles are kicking FSU's butt. :claps:

(In my best Lee Corso imitation) Not so fast, my friend!

:hissyfit: BC lost to FSU.

But of COURSE they did, tac. I'm so sorry dear ... you come to OUR house (the ACC) and you expect to take out the master on your FIRST official conference game? No, no, no, don't work that way

Just kidding ... in actuality, I really DID expect BC to whip the pants off us as badly as we have played against Miami and Clemson. If we don't clean up our act, we're going to lose the one I can't STAND to lose (swamplizards)!

So, here's a breakdown of the games I was most interested in:

http://espn.go.com/i/teamlogos/ncaa/med/52.gif (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=52) vs. http://espn.go.com/i/teamlogos/ncaa/med/103.gif (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=103) = FSU won (by the skin of our teeth, but hey, it's a W in the column, eh?)

http://espn.go.com/i/teamlogos/ncaa/med/2633.gif (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=2633) vs. http://espn.go.com/i/teamlogos/ncaa/med/57.gif (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=57) = Yuck, spit, gag, choke ... :hissyfit: the Gators won. This was a tough one for me because I was actually rooting for BOTH of them to lose, :smirky: . Hopefully this won't boost UF against the Dawgs and 'Noles, or make an angered Tennessee team take out their frustrations on GA.

http://espn.go.com/i/teamlogos/ncaa/med/61.gif (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=61) vs. http://espn.go.com/i/teamlogos/ncaa/med/2433.gif (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=2433) = How 'Bout Them Dawgs! Did anyone REALLY expect them to lose? Bubba was a happy man when he got back from Mississippi!

http://espn.go.com/i/teamlogos/ncaa/med/228.gif (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=228) vs. http://espn.go.com/i/teamlogos/ncaa/med/2390.gif (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=2390) = I felt SOOOO bad for Coach Tommy. They REALLY should have beaten those whirlwinds! What a game! Arrrgggghhh -- least ONE Bowden beat them this year, :smirky:

Alabama vs. South Carolina = Oh happy day! Now if Spurrier could JUST lose EVERY SINGLE game, I would be a happy camper! (Can you tell? I DESPISE this man ... wonder why, hmmmm, LOL).

So Michigan can't score against the Irish, and Michigan State tallies up 44 against them. Well, that sounds familiar.

Why was this game even scheduled?
:smirky: See post #5.

Yeah, I know, but it's like the college basketball teams that schedule pushovers ("turkeys--gobble, gobble," as Dick Vitale once said) in November and December.

I thought there might be some idiotic state law that requires the the big name schools to schedule games with the weaker sisters and Div. I-AA programs every year. (I believe the Commonwealth of Kentucky passed such a law a number of years ago to make UK play Louisville in basketball at least once a season.)

As it is Florida has three tough games "top 25" before they meet Florida State. Florida State only has one in Virginia. If Florida is still undefeated by then I'll be shocked.

And how could you even THINK of rooting for that "other" team, and not my 'Noles?? At least I root for the whirlwinds when they are playing others besides US! :devilange

I played a few baseball games at their stadium while I was playing, way back when, and became freinds with a few of them. Plus when I was getting my degree in fire science up in Ocala I would shoot up to their home games. Ever been there? Its a nice stadium for baseball.
I'm split between the canes and gators. No love though for them injuns sorry.

I know you can take it, this is going to be fun.

Awww IC, a competitor after my own heart! Bring it on, dude! I LOVE rivalries ... my father has two brothers, and football season was always a hoot when I was younger: Donnie was a Gator, Jerry liked East Carolina, and of course, my father graduated from Florida State. I have little tolerance for "fair-weather" fans who can't take a little razzing (sure had to take enough of it myself all those years the 'Noles had to take in on the chin from them swamplizards!). I like it when I can find a good natured opponent -- there are so few anymore, they all get rabid if you say something about their team.

I think I told you this before, but my Dad used to teach at the fire college there in Ocala (that's where I grew up). Sorry, hun, ain't NOTHIN' nice about the gators - - YUCK! LOL
