He has re-injured his freshly healed shoulder.
Many say that this is a career ending injury.

"Pennington is gone for the year after tearing his surgically repaired right rotator cuff, and you wonder whether he will ever be back at a level that is good enough to lead the Jets to a championship. Never a strong-armed quarterback to begin with, the 29-year-old Pennington faces a second surgical procedure within an eight-month span."

Looks like Feidler is the guy. Don't know if I like that or not.

It won't matter. Fiedler separated his shoulder yesterday. He ain't playin', either.
I think if anyone went to the Jets right now and you could throw a ball at least 70 yards, they'd sign you up. I joke, but there is some truth to that.
Where's Vinnie Testaverde when you need him?

In that same line of thinking is the QB at Chicago. They are playing a rookie by default! I do not at all like putting a rookie as a first string QB. Or RB even! how do these teams not have a back up plans???

I stand corrected, Feidler's out 6 weeks. Brooks Bollinger is the starter.

Yes, Bollinger gets the nod by default, but I know they'd much rather have someone else in there. All we can do is wish him luck.

"At only 29, one year removed from receiving the richest contract in Jets history, Pennington must face the very real possibility that his career might be over.
Though tests on his throwing shoulder Tuesday at the Birmingham, Ala., office of surgeon James Andrews will decide Pennington's immediate fate, the Jets already have begun coming to grips with the fact that he may have started his last game."
