College Park, MD (CNSNews.com) - Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan recently signed on with a speakers' bureau, and her appearance on the lecture circuit drew mixed reaction Tuesday night, especially from her younger supporters at the University of Maryland.

Sheehan, whose son Casey was killed in the Iraq war in 2004, took part in a discussion organized by the Democracy Collaborative, a university-sponsored group that works to "strengthen democracy" by addressing "democratic dilemmas in theoretical and practical ways," according to its website.

Sheehan left before the floor was opened to students for a question-and-answer session. Event moderator Gar Alperovitz, a professor at the university and the founder of the Democracy Collaborative, told students that Sheehan was not well. "She's in the back and very, very ill and I think also upset so she's not going to be coming back." He did not elaborate.

Before the event, Sheehan met with reporters to discuss her plans for the future. She said she didn't think her contract with Speaking Matters LLC will distract from her message.

"This is a society where people make money doing what they do and I have to pay my bills, too," she told Cybercast News Service.

Hate is extremely expensive, almost as much as street heroin and just as addictive. Hopefully the freaking imp will find a willing pimp to help her turn more of these kind of tricks on college campii so she can score some g.

Yeah, that is their motives: to make everyone as poor as them so we can all be equal.:flushlib. I learned that growing up in the USSR.

The hag sickens me. But those sophomoric college ditzes sicken me more. I've had the displeasure of debating against such brainless twits. Kids like them make going to university a painful experience.

I don't suppose any of those students waiting to speak to her might have been wearing 'W' t-shirts or were sporting young Republican buttons.. Or that any of them looked like they might actually Ask her a question rather than stroking her ego.... <liberal debate="" tactic="" #="" 27b="" when="" faced="" with="" potential="" exposure="" to="" difficult="" questions="" that="" may="" reveal="" truth="" remove="" yourself="" from="" the="" premises="">

:barfy:

Before the event, Sheehan met with reporters to discuss her plans for the future. She said she didn't think her contract with Speaking Matters LLC will distract from her message.

One wonders which of the following messages she referred to during this statement.

1) "I am an anti-freedom protestor who used the great fortune of my son's death to further an agenda that besmirches his honor and those of his fellow Soldiers and Marines."

2) "I am a shameless media whore who will use any available opportunity to keep myself in the limelight for as long as possible, no matter the cost."

3) "My relevance in current events is greater than any mere natural disaster, economic crisis, or public or personal tragedy."

Even liberals are beginning to realize that she's simply using her son's death as currency to propel herself into stardom.

Sheehan: 'I Have to Pay My Bills, Too'

Oh, boo-hoo-hoo. And that's supposed to make her betrayal better, doesn't it? NOT! It still stinks.

Hey, Cindy. Got news for you. I manage to pay my bills ... without betraying my country. It's called "having AN HONEST job." And no, you don't have to go to liberals to get one. There are scores of agencies that specialize in getting people HONEST jobs.
Give it a try, if only for the novelty of it.

You can bet that any campus group with Democracy in its name is simply a front for the most liberal wing of the Democrat(ic) Party.

I cannot suffer Cindy Sheehan's incessant dronings any longer. Truly there is a dearth of white matter within her neocortex. I have long had to harangue pigeon-brained dolts such as her at my school (Harvard) when they just can't see beyond their own insolent, wobbly opinions. Quite frankly my opponents are the paradigm of idiocy. I'd like to call these delightful little sessions debates or even political discussions but a discussion usually requires more than just muttering "Yeah, dude, I guess you're right" from the liberal side. Well dude, I'll tell you something: This country is in a turmoil of metamorphosis and will soon be a beautiful butterfly that will make your cold blood boil.

You're right CP. That's their goal. Redistribution of wealth. Steal from the rich to give to the poor. That is wrong on so many levels. I will NEVER accept that or give up the fight to defeat them.

WarLady, they steal from everyone, not just the rich. It is the middle class that gets hurt the most. Leftist policies keep middle class folks right where they are.

And the result was extraordinarily disastrous, as we've seen with the former Soviet Union and Communist China during Mao Zedung's rule.

Prostitution is another way to redistribute wealth, and from the looks of things I've posted in other forums, it looks like Cindy might have given the world's oldest profession a thought or two.

"She's in the back and very, very ill and I think also upset so she's not going to be coming back."...Anyone want to take bets on how long it will be before some "spokesman" announces that Mother Sheehan has checked into a mental hospital? Is this the fascination the MSM has with this deranged woman - Are they hoping to be there with cameras rolling when she fully steps over the edge and starts to eat spiders?
