What a difference a year can make. This time last year, George Bush was about to win re-election. This year, he faces darker times. Thursday, his Supreme Court nominee withdrew. As soon as Friday, aides could face indictment in the CIA leak probe. And a new poll even says he would lose an election if it were held today. I am torn, believe it or not, I still would have voted for him in 2004, Kerry would have detroyed us, but again? I don't know, if he can turn around on immigration, and actually nominate a TRUE constructionist/conservative, yes, otherwise, I just could leap.

With that Meirs nominations, I was a BIT PISSED OFF....

Well the question is really unfair until Amreica could experience a year under John Kerry as a comparison...

that shows the majority of those polled are democrats .

How foolish people are for actually believing President Bush is running for a third term. That's the impression I get from the media. The fact is, Bush isn't running again so his low poll numbers don't mean anything. My how things change in a year. Last year, I supported Jeb Bush for Vice President. However, with his brother's poll numbers so low, I think Gov. Bush would be the wrong choice for Vice President in 2008. I think he would only hurt whoever the Republicans nominate for President.

It's just a hypothetical question, Taylor.

I will say this though. If W doesn't do a quick about-face on some stuff he will not only be hurting the GOP's chances in 2008 but may cost a few seats in the Senate and Congress in 2006.

I agree Bush may hurt his party in 2006 & 2008 if he does change his views on some issues such as immigration and spending. If he could run for a third term, I don't think he could win again.

I'd vote for him again, if he gives up his silly amnesty crap. Of course looking at who the Dems might put up for election, I'm sure papa Bush could have a second term :thumb:

I voted for Bush...he's not the brightest bulb on the tree but I couldn't stand Kerry. It sucks ass when you only have two candidates to choose from.
