If you're like me, gentle lady, birthdays just count off another year closer to being in His presence. What a thought!
God bless!

Thank you all so very much. :-)
All these wonderful warm wishes have made my day.
You guys are so good to me.
Big Hugs to you all.
DD you are right. I will see the big 50 in just three more years. I thought about if I wish I were younger and I have decided I like being 47. It's a good age and I still have my health pretty much.
God bless you guys for being you :-)
Love Charity.

I no longer have birthdays. Like Jack Benny, I have decided that I shall never be more than 39. Now I celebrate anniversaries of my 39th. This year was my 24th.

You know it's funny but every 10 years I think we all mature and see things differently. I'll tell you what I mean. When I was 20 I was idealistic and strong and I thought I knew everything. Like other 20 year olds, I thought the older generation just was not in touch with modern day times. I really thought that older folks were just fuddy duddys. Then in my 30's I seemed to mellow somewhat but still clung to idealism and began to think about my future seriously. Then came the 40's my hips got a bit larger and my feet grew to a whole size bigger. I began to see the ills of liberalism and how wrong I was in my 20s to think that if the world just gave each other a big hug, all would be ok and there would be no wars LOL. I began to see how harmful liberalism is to this country and to the future for my children. You might say turning 40 is a real eye opener. Now I am quickly approaching 50 and I wonder what I wll learn next. I can't wait to find out :-)
