View Full Version : The Ghost of Wesley Clark still haunts us

I heard Wesley Clark blathering on Fox News last night about the failure of the War in Iraq, as if he was on the ground in the middle of the action...
I thought we were rid of him but, since its obvious that he's trying desperately to remain relevant, Laz predicts that we can expect his meaningless chatter to infest at least the beginnings of the next Presidential race...
One wonders if he is considering a run for the Congress in '06... Or maybe he's just trying to push a new book...

I think it must have been a slow news day... I can see Fox calling Clark at the very last minute to fill in a few minutes in the nightly report...
I see Clark desperately ripping off his apron and setting aside the Lasagna he was making for dinner, frantically calling for his wife to dig out his special TV Camera suit that has been hanging in the closet, still in its plastic wrap from the last time it was dry cleaned a year ago... :licky:
I wonder if he has a special room in his house - a holy of holies - made up to look like the oval office, with a nameplate on the desk that reads "President Clark", where he sits and dreams... I wonder if he requires his housekeeper to call him Mr President when he's in "the room"...;)

My guess is he will be on the Clinton/Clark ticket in 08Well anything's possible, Jim, but Billy C will be overseeing Madame Mao's campaign and I doubt very seriously he will yoke her with such a loser as Clark... Slick Willy will pick someone far more smooth and embracable than the "lonely little general without an army"...
Clark is politically dead - He's the only one who doesnt know it...

The problem with 24 hour news channels is that they have to fill 24 hours a day with news programming every single day. Which is why we keep seeing losers like General Clark show up every couple of months.

Clark is as relevant today as Maddy Albright, which is to say he's a used-up has-been.
I saw that panty-waisted perfumed prince being interviewed by Dan Rather when I was in Iraq during his presidential bid. He showed Dan a picture of a dead Kosovar baby in a picture book and got all misty-eyed about it. Then, he went on to explain how the Kosovar war was justified and overthrowing Saddam was not.
I met countless Iraqis would been tortured or had a family member disappear. I interviewed policemen about the secret police in their buildings kidnapping, raping, and killing women and burying them on their police grounds. I went to mass graves. I went into the execution chamber at Abu Ghraid where the locals explained what Saddam's executioners did there. I was wounded by the Ba'athists/terrorists and two soldiers were killed before my eyes. In fact, I was still wearing bandages when I saw Clark on TV getting teary over a picture in a book.
Do I need to explain anymore what I think of Weseley Clark? :soap:

It seems to me that the fault lies with Fox News. The world is full of moronic wanabe's, why would Fox want to set this one up to use air time? Who's making money off of this guy?

Good point, omega, but in Fox's defense, their interviewer really took the little general to task on his comments... It was like Fox used the interview to bring out some points about our successes in Iraq that the MSM has blatantly ignored... So Fox's performance in this segment rreally deserved applause...

It's a damned shame this news is not what's being reported.
PR, you have my undying gratitude that you "lay it on the line" to keep me FREE. I salute you, sir (whether you're an officer or not, please take no offense).

I didn't see the piece so I'll take your word for it.
I was wounded by the Ba'athists/terrorists and two soldiers were killed before my eyes. In fact, I was still wearing bandages when I saw Clark on TV getting teary over a picture in a book.
Do I need to explain anymore what I think of Weseley Clark? Nope, soldier. You bled for me and mine. Your word is gold. Maybe it is ignorance, but I envy those that have actually fought for freedom. I ETSed in '88, went to college, got married, have three son's and another child due in June. But I've never faced the enemy in the battlefield. I respect those who have.

It is fine nene.
You worked hard to educate yourself and then have a family. That is a lot of work too.
I have met enemies here in America and even in forums.Where drooling morons denigrate our soldiers who help protect America and support people in other nations.
You can support our soldiers by attacking those who denigrate them here in the forum and elsewhere.

Aw c'mon... is he really THAT ugly?Nope... But they do make a lovely couple, dont you think?
Wesley Clark impresses me as the typical ticket punching Martinette who soils the honor of the uniform simply by wearing it... He's not a soldier - He's a corporate ladder-climber and a camera slut...
