Codec question

Sorry for all the tech questions but moderm technology escapes me.. I'm trying to run an avi file on windows media player 10 but it says it can't be played because a codec is missing.. I searched and searched and even d/l'd the updated codec from microsoft but to no avail...

Nope, nor on quicktime either, all say the same thing...

Have you had this problem with other AVI files? Have you tried running the problematic AVI file on another computer?

Actually all avi files seem to do this.

Adds the famous divx codec to all of your media players so u can play AVI files that dont work without it. i recoment the free version http://www.divx.com/divx/play/download/.

I've never had a problem with an AVI file ever since i installed Divx.
