There are still 10 months left before the elections in which the president's Republican Party could lose its dominance of Capitol Hill; a recent Associated Press-Ipsos poll found Americans prefer Democratic control over a continued Republican majority by 49 percent to 36 percent. But Bush is wasting no time engaging the battle. In his first speech of 2006 on the road, last week in Chicago, he aggressively challenged Democrats on the economy.
Bush acknowledged deep differences over Iraq among casualty-weary Americans, just 39 percent of whom approve of his handling of the war, according to AP-Ipsos. Without specifically mentioning Democrats, the president urged campaigning politicians to "conduct this debate responsibly."

(A) recent Associated Press-Ipsos poll found Americans prefer Democratic control over a continued Republican majority by 49 percent to 36 percent.Americans never cease to amaze me with their ignorance, gullibility and stupidity. They believe anything as long as it comes out of the tube. They prefer a government of liars and traitors. They lust for more taxes and less freedom. Obviously it going to require another few decades of RATs in power to remind the dumb bastards why they threw the RATs out in '94.

Sorry but I don't buy that poll. I have a feeling it's a little Dem heavy. Remember the polls right before the Presidential election? Neck and neck and Bush won by almost 4 million votes.

Me too. Doc, you sure your not being gullible believing that poll? Not at all. Over 49 million people voted for a traitor/self-admitted war criminal to be the POTUS. Idiots abound.

I have to say that i do tend to think they put these polls out for those bandwagon voters, they say oh look everyone is upset with Bush, what the hell i am upset with him too.

If the poll was not taken nationwide, then it is of no value. If the pollsters were merely asking people on the coasts, then it's totally unbalanced and it's totally wrong.

9 million if you throw out all the people who voted more than once and the ones that voted after they died.

What about those that voted more than once after they croaked?

Thats why the media does polls, cause they know there is idiots who cant form an opinion so they make a opinion for them.

Also if they dont poll rural voters then it is even more biased. If they only poll major citys in all states then it is even more biased as vast majority of Big Citys are Liberal.

You're exactly right, we wouldn't be having this conversation if it were any different. Nor, would we have re-elected Bj-Clintoon and still have to fear his 0g0r wife winning in 08. Stupidity is one constant that deserve reference with Death and taxes...

You can skew the results just by polling during normal working hours when the welfare queens and gated community libs are all home and the working class conservatives are actually working.

This article was written for the people who wrote it....as the results of their poll reflect:
<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=175 border=0><TBODY><TR><TD class=poll_header colSpan=2>How do you view people who criticize the handling of the Iraq war?</TD></TR><TR class=poll_row_1 height=21><TD class=poll_answer_td width=145>I agree with them</TD><TD class=poll_answer_td_2 width=30>56%</TD></TR><TR class=poll_row_0 height=21><TD class=poll_answer_td width=145>I disagree with them and think they're disloyal</TD><TD class=poll_answer_td_2 width=30>30%</TD></TR><TR class=poll_row_1 height=21><TD class=poll_answer_td width=145>I disagree with them, but don't question their loyalty</TD><TD class=poll_answer_td_2 width=30>13%</TD></TR><TR><TD class=poll_footer_1 colSpan=2>Total Votes: 123,550</TD></TR><TR><TD class=poll_footer_2 colSpan=2>Note on Poll Results (http://webcenter.polls.aol.com/poll_disclaimer.jsp?lang=en&country=us&brand=aol&view=70841&pollId=70894&template=402)</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
I notice they published no data on this supposed poll. It could have been conducted in their own offices for all you can tell in this article. Normally these polls are of less than 1k people....I have more people than that working in our office here...
I agree TP, are the media really required to back up their poll data with FACTS? They can't even get a flippen news story right, but are not held accountable. Whether the poll is skewed towards the left or made up even, it is propaganda at best. I trust no poll. I have never been asked questions in a poll even, and I make no hiding of my views.

The problem is that the journalistically inept media no longer report the news. They take polls and the polls become the news. In effect the MSM invent the news.
No, I don't trust the poll, but at the same time I'm a realist. I've seen who the dumb bastards consistently vote for (I live in the pathetic mockery of a state that has insured that the parasites Kerry and Kennedy are senators for life), and it scares the hell out of me.

Oh you poor dear. We moved from there as soon as we could. Mind you, neither of us were from there. It was a shocking experience.

They need to change the wording from ??% of Americans, to ??% of those people polled.
