Just reported by John Gibson.
Senator Lindsey Graham was apologizing to the Judge for the line of questioning by some of the democreeps on the committee. They are trying to paint him as a racist.
During the apology Mrs. Alito breaks down in tears and is forced to leave the chamber.
These people are classless.

These people are classless.
This is a runaway train and it brings to mind the Clarence Thomas prosecution - and once again its baseless.

Schumer's Reaction: "I don't know anything about that"
Now Schumer is implying Alito is lying about remebering anything about CAP.
It is no wonder why fewer and fewer people want to get into government service.
Not only is Alito's 90 yr old mother is being harassed daily by snooping dirt-digging reporters (and FYI cant even go outside her home without these dorks pestering her, which if I were her would have put a restraining order against any and ALL reporters so as to have some semblance of a normal life, pestering that old lady is disgraceful); now this, when will this charade end and someone tell these idiots to stop this leftist Inquisition?

A lot of those described by midnite are Republicans. On the whole, though, the Democrats are even worse.

When dP talked about running for the county board again, he wanted to make sure I oculd handle the lies, character assasinations, etc. even on a local level it gets very, very nasty and dirty...

ALITO WIFE LEAVES HEARING IN TEARS AFTER DEM ATTACK
Wed Jan 11 2006 17:22:11 ET
**Exclusive**
Judge Samuel A. Alito’s wife Martha left the confirmation hearing room in tears this evening, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) apologized to the Judge’s family for the behavior of his fellow committee members during the course of the last three days.
Sen. Graham said: “Judge Alito, I am sorry that you’ve had to go through this. I am sorry that your family has had to sit here and listen to this.”
Democrats on the Judiciary Committee have attacked Judge Samuel A. Alito over his membership in Concerned Alumni of Princeton and his involvement in the Vanguard case.
One senior Republican in the hearing room said of the situation: “After three full days of attacks against her husband’s character, Mrs. Alito had enough. Democrat behavior during this hearing has not only been wrong, it’s been embarrassing. Ted Kennedy is nothing but a bully.”

No doubt if you peruse the posts over at DU on this subject, the 'party of compassion and love' will be reveling in having made Mrs. Alito come to tears.

And you wonder why almost everybody thinks this week's hearings have turned into a major PR fiasco for the Democrats. :shame:

Ted Kennedy is nothing but a bully. No, he's far more. He's a senile, corpulent, drunken, amoral, soulless, murdering, pig-faced asshole who could best serve his country by retiring ... or dying from the effects of his hideous, wasted, parasitic life.
The fact that the miserable bastard stays in the Senate is evidence that the MA voters are by and large ignorant, clueless and worthless.

As for the rest of the scurrilous RATs conducting the inquisition, they collectively don't have the honor or decency that God gave a cockroach. May the lot of them suffer the consequences of this disgusting travesty at the polls.

Relax. Enjoy it. The Dems aren't hurting Alito at all, but they are humiliating themselves. If you think anyone outside of the mindless psychophants of DU and MoveOn.org is not at least mildly disgusted by these lefty antics you're nuts. The Dems have managed to kick themselves in the nuts, again. Alito's wife crying is a small price to pay for this kind of anti-leftist mileage.

Ted Kennedy's pedestrian intellect isn't up to the task of scoring points on her husband - Mrs. Alito knows that. I don't believe she was feeling sorry for her husband or for herself... Graham just hit a nerve.
Mrs. Alito was moved to tears simply because after two days of watching her husband repel countless baseless attacks, Lindsey Graham was speaking in extra-sympathetic, generous terms and it moved her.
Sometimes, particularly with women, kind words can invoke emotion as easily as harsh ones.

So would I, Al. Guys, I swear I'm not being drammatic, but the fact that a corrupt, decadent bastard like Ted the Drunk Killer should pretend to take the high moral ground on everything makes me physically sick. Honestly. No wonder Mrs. Alito cried. I would have barfed.

I would have liked to have hidden a speaker with a wireless mike somewhere in the room and every time Kennedy started spouting his moral crap, blurt out "Chappaquiddick" into said mike.

"Chappaquiddick Ted" has no moral authority. All he does is vote and take up space.
