:bdh: I am not a fat person. However i am on vacation in Europe and one day i asked someone on the street where the McDonalds was- You see i was just craving a fat juicy burger, (im in the Czech Republic) and they dont make burgers here like they do back home. With some french fries and a Pepsi (Coke actually but im not gunna whine)...yeah that would be a great change of pace, i have been eating Czech food all the while, and dammit i want McDonalds.Trust me there are plenty of them here, you know the word, capitalism- you can find McDonalds for sure they are all over the place here. Ahh and when you do, you see the Americans there, speaking your language, now your talking language i can understand literally and figuratively.- But when i asked people, three altogether, their faces lighted up and i sensed it, and said yeah Im and American and i just want a burger. Each of them laughed and either said they didnt know, or finally directed me to the infamous double arch. But the look was the one like, "typical American, wants fast food instead of real cusine"-I dont have the time to explain that i've been eating their dumplings and pork, and whatever else. Point is, Americans are known for fast food, and whats more for being Fat. Interesting article here about a poll that says "Americans are OK with being Fat"
P.S.-I had to pay for barbecue sauce and Ketchup-however, a Big Mac meal-(their equivelant) was only 3 dollars USD and change.

It turns out health is a wonderful topic to talk about," Balzer said. "But to live that way is a real effort." Reminds me of a quote by Mark Twain: Everybody talks about the weather, but nobody ever does anything about it."
If I want to graze, I'll go in the backyard and eat grass. When I sit in a restaurant, by golly, I'm eating til' I have to unbutton my pants.

Burgers in Europe frighten me. Taste like crap and look not unlike particle board. I heard they don't use beef to make them or something.
Europe is a wonderful place with lots of tasty food, but no one does burgers like the US of A. You also can't find a decent-sized potato there...

It honestly does seem more acceptable. Relationships seem to be flowing in spite of being obese/fat. It shows up in how people dress these days. Pregnant ladies are wearing cropped tops or skin tight tops. No more hiding it! Which is a good thing. Other ladies are wearing cropped tops and hip hugger pants, which leaves a lot of midriff showing, no matter what their size.:rolleyes:

Reminds me of the elderly man who went in for a checkup. The doc proclaimed him fit as a fiddle. The man sez, "But Doc! I don't wanna be healthy. I wanna die of *something.*"
