I showed that to my Bubba -- if I had some spare dough, I WOULD buy that for my 16 year old son. We are currently participating in "Adventures in Car Shopping for the Teenage Boy." I would love to tell him I got him the General Lee(-Roy), and then see his face when it arrived, http://www.freeconservatives.com/vb/images/icons/biglaugh.gif.

No can do, Doc, I want something that turns OFF would-be female attention toward my son, not draw attention toward him, :smirky: .
HOWEVER, that looks like a vehicle that Hms would definitely enjoy, http://www.freeconservatives.com/vb/images/icons/cool.gif

Inasmuch as it seats one, the infatuated femmes would be denied transport. It's a frustration machine.

If, OTOH, a chick magnet is out of the question, a Citroen 2CV (made famous in Bond's "For Your Eyes Only") should fit the requirement.

Okay, we have about $1800, think that will buy either one of those cars for a safer li'l Bubba? :smirky:

You could probably get a Hyundai on eBay for that price, like a '99 or '00. They ain't exactly "chick magnets" either, but they will get you from point A to point B without drawing much attention from the babes.

A to B with minimum expense should be the overarching consideration. Style is way down the list of considerations for a kid's first car.
