The big cat was a Photoshopped hoax. The poodle-cat was obviously some twisted shit's idea of amusing.

I had a rather similar looking cat once. It had to have an operation and was partially shaved. Not as imaginative as this one though.

Doc - actually some cats have to be shaved that way because of the beed. Their hair does not shead, like poodles, so they have to be shaved to avoid matting. I only know this because my friend has one such cat. It looks hilarious though!!
Good hoax on the first one.

The first one looks like Garfield on steroids. The second one looks like a Star Wars wannabe.

I used to have a neighbor with a big red kitty that looked almost as big as the one in the pic. That cat musta weighed 35 pounds or more. it was the biggest one I had ever seen.

Yes, and the other pic is clearly a Photoshop hoax too. The girl holding the cat is a dwarf, and was substituted for the cat's actual owner.

I don't think the second photo is doctored. Charity I have seen a cat that large too. My cousins Maine Coon cat was the biggest dang domestic cat I've ever seen.

They are beautiful. Hers was a calico colored Maine Coon. He had the personality of a dog. He was not aloof as most cats tend to be.

Here's the right section of the big-kitty shot. Judging by the reflections in the window, unless the glass is convex, some diddling was done. The reflections of the lamp and the girl/cat are way too small for their being that close to the glass.

It's obviously a Photoshop special, but the perp should have covered his tracks a bit more skillfully.

This is from a Email I got awhile ago. The cat just looks so Pissed!!
From a mailing list...
"My sister-in law is from Oklahoma and has a slight accent. She has cats and when she lived in the south she would take them to the groomers and have what is called a "Line Cut".
"To her a line cut is when all of the fur hanging down below the cat's tummy is taken off (because it gets matted or gnarled). When she moved to Chicago with my brother, one of the cats fur got all tangled up during the move so she took it in for a line cut. She was quite surprised when she heard the price as it was twice as much as it was down south. She confirmed with the groomer that he understood what a line cut was and he said "yes, I know what a LION cut is."
"It seems her accent came out sounding like LION not LINE and this is how her cat was returned to her. She cried for a week... but not as much as the cat. It was November in Chicago and the cat needed all the fur it had." Gas in car to go to groomers $4.50
Cat car carrier $32.99
Grooming fee $80.00
Getting The Look from one seriously ticked-off cat -- Priceless!

I love the little furry boots. I want a pair! We give our Aussie shepherd a "lion" cut every spring. Her coat is so long and thick she would die in the summer. She looks pretty funny but she's cool. My vet has to knock her out and we shear her on my kitchen floor with a sheet beneath her. The vet charges me $75.00.

I'm not seeing what you're seeing Doc. Even in the reflection the cat is huge. Why are you so positive this is a doctored photo?

I'm not seeing what you're seeing Doc. Even in the reflection the cat is huge. Why are you so positive this is a doctored photo? The major point is that she and the cat appear to be no more than 5-6 feet from the window, and yet the reflection shows at least two-three times as far away. There are other fine points that spell "manipulated".
There are too many anomalies for it to be an undoctored photo. Here's a similar one.

This was done as a joke and it found its way onto the Net. Further info:

The cat at the start of this thread appeared to have holes in it, judging by where it was and where the woman's arms were.
The picture I linked to above was not doctored, though its subject should have been.

My cat that passed away in dec. 20th was like that except smaller but had the big fur and was a tabby. My poor little buddy 'sunny' was such a nice cat.

<!--startindex-->A 33-pound cat in Qingdao, China, is being described as a "feline monster" because of its 31-inch waist and large size, according to a report.
The 9-year-old cat from the Shandong Province is so heavy it needs the help of its owner to get onto a bed. However, the cat is in surprisingly good health despite its weight, Local 6 News reported.
