Just started playing with my new toy.
What kind of software is out there lets you do things like put a different body under a person or draw or halos or horns or mustaches on a person.
I think some of you have this. What does it cost?
Thanks

MS Paint (included with Windows) is quite flexible in that respect. However, it is basic and limited in its capabilities.
Photoshop Elements is a subset of the PS program. It's much less expensive than PS, but it is correspondingly less powerful.
Look into Paint Shop Pro for a lot of graphics power in a relatively inexpensive (prices vary from about $55 to over $100 - shop around) package.
Or if you want the works, Photoshop is the ultimate. The downside: CS2 from the Adobe site is $650. It may be cheaper elsewhere, but not much.
A good alternative if you don't need the latest versions is to look around in eBay. The earlier versions can be had for considerably less than the new ones (which will of course be replaced by even newer ones in a few months).
One advisory: if your computer is limited in power, don't invest in Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop. They'll slow it to a crawl. They require a fast CPU, ample RAM and a good video card.

Thanks Doc
I previewed MS Paint, Photoshop, and Paint Shop.
None seem to do what I want.
Basically what I wanted to do was put a picture of my wife's face and put it on my cat's body and use it a screen saver. My wife would crack up when she saw that.
Photoshop is too much money for something silly.
My Laptop has 512K RAM and my desktop has 1 GiG.
I think they are both 3.0 mhz pentium 4 processors.
I have no idea about the video card.
Is that enough power.
Thanks for the advice.

Download a free 30 day, I believe, trial of the complete set-up of Paint Shop Pro 9 or X, read the manual that comes with it, and you'll soon be making all kinds of funny pictures like a pro. That thing is amazing.
