Im going to be gone for awhile/Update on our Warlady/Just Talked to Warlady

As some of you know I'm having surgery tomorrow. It's going to be a while before I'll be able to type again. They are scoping my right shoulder and repairing a tear there and they are also operating on my left wrist for carpal tunnel repair. I will have both arms bound. My right arm will be in a sling with a baby bottle like gizmo pinned to the inside with a IV line going into my neck with pain medicine in it which has to be there for 3 days. (I won't be able to move much or it can slip out.) I'll also have the ice pack machine attached which will limit my mobility even more. My right hand will be bound up with just the finger tips exposed which means I won't be able to bathe myself or possibly not even be able to feed myself for at least the first three days maybe longer. So I have no idea when I'll be able to be back on the board. If anyone needs anything just contact Suzie, Thomas or any other Admin who is on at the time.

I'll miss you guys. Today will be my last for posting for a while so take good care of FC.

I had voice recognition sofware a long time ago. I don't know what happened to it but I do recall that when my dogs barked or the tv was on it went nuts. I'll ax Sonarman if he has a copy of it and give it another go.

Here's the latest from our Brenda:

I'm typing with one finger. I'm not supposed to be typing at all but I wanted to let everyone know that the carpal tunnel release went well. However, the shoulder repair did not. Because of my bones the doc couldn't get the anchors to stay. He was trying to attach my ligment to my bone and couldn't. He told Fred that I will have to have a shoulder replacement. :( Otherwise, I'm doing good right now. The carpal tunnel release barely hurts and I don't feel my shoulder at all. They put in a nerve block which totally numbs it. But it's almost empty of the novacaine and the pain medicine so I don't know how I'll feel tomorrow. Love you all. Brenda

As you can see, she's being naughty and doing what she's not supposed to be doing. I've already spoken sternly to her. :grin:

Thanks everyone. The IV slipped out yesterday afternoon and I still had about a days worth of novacaine left in it. Grrrrr but it's been almost 12 hours and I'm not too uncomfortable but I sure am bruised. My left hand is blue as is my right shoulder and arm. I better get off of here. The Warlord is taking better care of me than any nurse ever could.
