We moved out of CA!

I know what you mean it won't happen for a few years. CaliBoy and I had been talking about moving out of CA for about 5 years! It's not easy for us right now, as we are still unpacking our business, apartment and shipping out orders. We are both working 6 days a week right now. However, we LOVE it in Carson City, NV! :grin: NO more Mexifornia! :claps: YES! we are HAPPY to be outta of CA!

Yep, you've got some great real estate bargains in OK, same as in your neighboring Arkansas. I moved outta Massachusetts late last summer and into the beautiful Ozarks on the bank of the Arkansas River, and I have never looked back. Knowing that the Clinton Vermin have now left Arkansas and moved to Chuck Schumer's state made the decision easier for me.

I wanted to move to the country, some place with a view, and was also trying to find a place where you get a real bargain for your money. I looked at Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Oklahoma (near Poteau) and (finally) Arkansas. Almost couldn't believe the great housing/land value you get for your money in The Natural State. Didn't know much about the state, other than that the Clinton Vermin came from it. Thought it was flat land. And, in fact, much of Arkansas is. But the Arkansas northwest is gorgeous, with nice mountains. Even reminded me a bit of my former New England, complete with nice Fall foliage!

Haven't explored much of Oklahoma yet (hope to do a bit of that this summer) but the border is only 1 hour away from my house here in Arkansas, and I know the Talimena Drive from Mena over into Talihena is real pretty, so I know Oklahoma has some very pretty areas, just like Arkansas does.

Here in the Arkansas River Valley I find that Spring comes about 4 weeks sooner, and Fall departs 4 weeks later, than they did in MA. Plus I get much more bang for my house buck than I did in MA!
