The media be damned

If you want to know why I am bringing all of this up again, well it is very simple it is the anniversary of the beginning of the <ST1:pIraq</ST1:p war. Yet another chance for them to tell us how many troops were killed and how they really think we have taken 9/11 way too far and we really just need to get over it… Bombing <ST1:pAfghanistan was enough, we got our point across, Iraq is just over kill and for Heavens sake could we just put the flags back up in the closet we are offending people… Don’t we know that all that American stuff is just generating even more hatred towards us? Could just be me but I am thinking that they must not have loved us much on 9/11.
<O:p</O:p
See they honestly think that we have forgotten, I for one have not and will make damn sure no one else does either. Because when we forget we get complacent and when we get complacent they will strike us again. It may not be this year it may not be in another five years, it may be when your child is grown and working in <ST1:pNew York</ST1:p or at the Pentagon or simply taking a flight home. We are sending a message to the world that if you mess with <ST1:pAmerica</ST1:p we will not stop until we have hunted you all down and that is a message I have no problem screaming at the top of my lungs…
<O:p</O:p
They spend most of their news hour telling us how the Iraqi people feel how they want us out. You know I have to wonder what the families of 9/11 feel, what was it like to tell your child that daddy or Mommy would never come home again but they were a hero. What must it be like for those children who lost both parents that day? How are the parents coping after the loss of their son or daughter? We have heard more about Katrina victims than we have heard about the families of 9/11 even though their families had a chance to get out. I know all they want to do is brand Bush a failure, which is absolutely not anything new. This is a man that could have easily not run for president again, he could have gone home and done what other president have and write a book but he chose to stand with <ST1:pAmerica</ST1:p and he is a failure for doing so…
<O:p</O:p
Well, I guess you can brand me a failure as well, because I refuse to allow the media to be unanswered. I refuse to waver on my support for MY president and this war because I know we went over there for the right reasons. I know our troops are not murders and torturers. It may not be a very popular position but I really don’t care I am proud of my country, my president and our troops and the media be damned… :thud:
