A high speed chase. Zoomed right in front of my window. About 8 helicopters were in the air, a dozen police cars following. The guy was going about 80. He crashed into a tree a couple of blocks away. Got out and started running with cops close behind. Then the guy stops, turns and tries to swing at the cop! Who took him down in about 3 seconds.

I am so glad he didn't try to make a turn at my corner because he surely would have gone right through my front window.

Needless to say, the guy was latino. Who would have guessed.

Car theft does have its uses. Look at the Dallas PD's Most Wanted. The affirmative action White guy is in there for car theft. He's the only one listed for that crime, all the others are murderers, sexual offenders, or armed drug dealers. Gotta get a White guy in there somehow.

Maybe in the future the police could just call in an attack helicopter on the car thieves and have it blow 'em away with a low-powered missile aimed at the engine. I think some of them would get the message after that. Besides, once your car is stolen, it gets a salvage title anyway. What the hell.
