WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The debate on immigration poses deep political risks for a divided Republican Party that could see its recent gains among Hispanics wiped out if Congress approves a bill that gets tough with illegal workers.
The Republican split on immigration, on full display as senators took up the issue on Monday amid emotional street protests, could sabotage the party's long-range effort to court the country's fastest growing ethnic group, Hispanic activists and analysts said.

That's one way of putting it, DeclineToState.
Another way of putting it is the Democrats are fully united in defending illegal aliens breaking our nation's immigration laws without deserving any punishment.

It's kind of odd. Everyone is worried about losing the hispanic vote. No one is worried about losing the American vote.

And the Democrats are very dedicated, obviously, to winning the criminal vote.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is Today's Democrat Party.

It's kind of odd. Everyone is worried about losing the hispanic vote. No one is worried about losing the American vote.I noticed that too, Kathy... One wonders when they will wake up and realize that OUR vote has a certain value... Maybe they have already weighed that... Maybe they have decided that we are a disposable commodity in the battle to retain their plush, and very profitable positions as America's elite ruling class...
Power, without virtue, corrupts...
I hear a lot of talk in the news about the probablility of a Civil War in Iraq... One wonders if they have even considered the possibility of a Civil War right here in the US... At this point, I would very likely support a movement to withdraw the State of Alabama from the United States...

If the Hispanic vote is crucial then we've already lost the war...

If the Hispanic vote depends on pandering to illegals, we don't need it. :flame:

It's a bad sign when pols are kissing the arses of wetbacks for votes.

Precisely. And besides, if there's any pandering to criminals to be done, today's Democrat Party is more than happy to do that!
But another Democrat Party crony has just been found guilty of breaking the law. So even though the Democrat Party doesn't give a damn about United States laws, thankfully our United States laws give a damn about Democrat lawbreakers and criminals and criminal panderers!
A federal appeals court ruled Tuesday that Rep. Jim McDermott violated federal law by turning over an illegally taped telephone call to reporters nearly a decade ago.
In a 2-1 opinion, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia upheld a lower court ruling that McDermott violated the rights of House Majority Leader John Boehner, who was heard on the 1996 call involving former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.

The Dems have settled into lock step with the illegals, the Republicans who take their lead from the Dems are half there already.
