May 8th - 15th I'll be in Orlando Florida.... I've never traveled alone nor have I been to Florida in about 8 years. So I'm curious; does anyone know of any spots I should check out? I like the obvious beaches, good food and night spots, but what about historical sites, things of that nature? This is my first real vacation so I want to make it worth all the hassle and BS I've gone through to go hehe... So let me know of any idea's you may have...

Beaches? In Orlando? Maybe at the water parks. The nearest real beach is over an hour away. Then again, the way traffic is in Orlando now, just about anything is over an hour away! If it's been 8 years, I'd recommend Universal Studios, especially if you like thrill rides. They've added some neat stuff in the last few years. Just about everybody has added new stuff, to the point that you couldn't see everything there if you stayed a month! I own two time shares that border Disney Village.

Disney?! Poo! The man wants History!!!

If you're going thru the Panhandle, you might want to check out Fort Pickens on Santa Rosa Island near Pensacola... Its pretty ancient and was once used as a prison for Geronimo after he was captured...

If you are going down the east coast, check out St Augustine... The oldest city in the US... If you cant find history there, you aint tryin...;)
