Hey y'all, I'm officially now a "Gramma" :smirky: . My son and I picked up his new puppy this past Friday evening -- a 5-1/2 week old American Bulldog pup. He's sooooooo cute! His mama refused to feed the pups anymore (there were 11 in the litter) so all those who were getting a pup were called to come get theirs. We thought we were going to have to bottle feed him, but he's actually eating solid food (canned, actually) even though he was the runt of the litter.
This weekend was a real transition period, we were all getting used to having a baby around the house again. Today he had a bit of a tummy ache, and so got his first trip to visit his vet doc. He has a parasite, but nothing drastic (vet said it was not unusual at all), so got some medicine and this evening he is feeling much better (eating and drinking pedialyte).
I didn't attempt any pictures today because he has felt so bad, but if his health is better tomorrow, I'll take some while my son is in school (he's overprotective and wouldn't let me take any pics over the weekend, :smirky: .
When we got the call about the pups, I did manage to con my son into taking some pics when he went to go pic out the one he wanted, so I'll post those for now, and post more (better) ones tomorrow.
So without further ado, I proudly introduce y'all to . . .

They're adorable Homes!!! Sugar had the same parasite your baby does...same treatment too. But a photo won't hurt it. Happy Grandma day!!

All puppies are adorable. Ditto for kittens. My wife is the only thing preventing my house from becoming a menagerie. She has even checked me at the door before to insure I didn't have a puppy or kitten hidden away somewhere.

Well our house IS a menagerie . . . or at least a mini-zoo, LOL. We have our sweet rotty girl Holly, our crazy JackRussell Taffy, our thoroughbred gelding Willy, our Savannah monitor Toga!Toga! and now our little baby Uga ... who knows WHAT tomorrow will bring, LOL.
Here's some more (better) pics:

. . . and I wasn't wrong, :smirky: . Tomorrow brought . . . another puppy! There was only one left, poor dear, and so we agreed to take him too. Together they look like David and Goliath. Uga is so small (he was the runt) and the new puppy is SO big, it's hard to believe they were from the same litter, much less even the same breed. Anyway, I'll take pics of Uga's brother tomorrow, but for now here is a shot of him with his other brothers and sisters back before they were ready to be adopted, my new grandbaby is named . . .

Those pups are so cute. And yes...it does not look like they were from the same litter. Funny how things work at times.

Thanks, Foquet --
This particular breed (American Bulldog) come in a few different color variations. Surprisingly enough, in this particular litter (of 11) they ran the entire gambit of colors. One even looked just like Snoopy (of Peanuts fame).
They are the sweetest things, but right now at the chewing stage, so EVERYTHING becomes a chew-toy (including my computer microphone-which is no more-and my mouse cord-which is still holding together, barely, LOL).

There are none left -- all 11 spoken for now. My Bubba wouldn't part with Bodacious, and Bodie would die of a broken heart if we got rid of Uga (my son's pup). How's about I just ship you my son?

Homes, it's always best to have two puppies rather than one. They will grow up together and be best friends and I imagine Bo will take good care of Uga.

They are actually, now, driving me crazy, LOL. Too small to make them stay outside by themselves, too big for their playpen (although we've rigged it to last a bit longer, LOL). They get into EVERYTHING, chew EVERYTHING, but they are just the most adorable things I have ever seen. Here's another pic . . .
