Cher Says She'll Replace Celine in '08

I thought Cher had retired.


Cher, the mighty mighty Cher, has not retired after all. She told me on Friday night it's definite: she will replace Celine Dion at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

As with Celine, Caesars will build a unique palace for Cher, with a launch date in 2008.

Cher's too old, too ugly, too shallow, too flat and too talentless for anybody to build a palace for her. Sonny Bono was the onliest one ever willing to bet on Cher, and look what happened to him.

They can build the palace, but will anyone come? Those casino owners had better think long and hard before they bet on making enough money off of Cher or Babs to justify construction of a new palace. Celine is still hot, but she's also young enough to be Cher's or Babs' daughter, and there are other, even younger, more talented singers on the horizon.
