This (the title of this post) is what I am calling my collection of Conservative movie DVDs.
During 2005 I sought out and purchased the following DVDs, used and at a decent discount, mostly through Ebay or Amazon:
1. In the Face of Evil: Reagan's War in Word and Deed
2. Is it True What They Say About Ann?
3. George W. Bush: Faith in the White House
4. Celsius 41.11: The Temperature at Which the Brain Begins to Die
5. FahrenHype 9/11: Unravelling the Truths About Fahrenheit 9/11
6. Michael Moore Hates America
7. WMD- Weapon of Mass Destruction: The Murderous Reign of Saddam Hussein
I believe I heard about most, if not all of them on the Liberty Film Festival 2004 website. I believe there were some short films in the festival as well. I was able to download a couple of them.
I am in the process of watching #7 on the list. I think all of them except #6 are excellent and I highly recommend them.
Movie #6 seems very amateurish. I really didn't like it. The movie had many, many clips of various people saying how a documentary should or should not be made, and how bad Michael Moore is. That's mostly it. A little bit of time was spent talking with average people around the country, but not as much as I expected. Also one of the people who speaks a lot in the film is Penn Jillette (of Penn and Teller). He's got a filthy mouth and it really shows in this film. That's one big thing that I didn't like about this film. The F word and other similar words are heard throughout this film, although thankfully, not all through it.
I can't stand Michael Moore, but I really didn't see any point in this movie. It just seemed like someone fooling around with a camcorder in order to put a show on local access TV or something.
But as I say, the rest of the movies are excellent.
Anyone else have comments on these movies?
Thanks,
Barry
P.S.- Another good thing would be to get a lot of the Conservative books, by Ann Coulter, Rush, Sean Hannity, etc., etc. I just haven't gotten around to it. I noticed that you can get a lot of them used on Amazon for as low as a penny plus shipping.
