Still you Bush backers think this guy and this congress is all that. Are there no conservatives left in this country?

Only another reason I won't be voting for anything GOP anymore.

Congress to raise debt limit to nearly 10 trillion!!!

A $2.7 trillion budget plan pending before the House would raise the federal debt ceiling to nearly $10 trillion, less than two months after Congress last raised the federal government's borrowing limit.

The provision -- buried on page 121 of the 151-page budget blueprint -- serves as a backdrop to congressional action this week. House leaders hope to try once again to pass a budget plan for fiscal 2007, a month after a revolt by House Republican moderates and Appropriations Committee members forced leaders to pull the plan.

But the federal debt keeps climbing because of continued deficit spending and the government's insatiable borrowing from the Social Security trust fund.

With passage of the budget, the House will have raised the federal borrowing limit by an additional $653 billion, to $9.62 trillion. It would be the fifth debt-ceiling increase in recent years, after boosts of $450 billion in 2002, a record $984 billion in 2003, $800 billion in 2004 and $653 billion in March. When Bush took office, the statutory borrowing limit stood at $5.95 trillion.

Meanwhile, the dollar continues to fall. Nobody will notice until its too late. Anyone notice gold going up????

I've given up expecting fiscal responsibility from the RNC majority. "They" have learned the "Power Of Pork Barrel Spending", and have applied themselves with a vengeance.

I am a fiscal conservative, first and foremost. The Libertarian Party is essentially my only hope for fiscal reason and sanity.

Oh yes, I noticed. I've got multiple positions that benefit from that.

Gold $707.40
Silver $14.47

The really astounding story is Copper. Just a few weeks ago, it was $5,000 a ton. Today, it's $8,000 a ton. Got positions on that as well.

Well...you could ask Bette Midler when it comes to where that has been. But that was 35 years ago, so the DNA is long degraded.

Sorry, could not resist after your perfect description of The Sandbox King himself.

Is Condi a Republican? Is the Republican party the GOP? I'm not trying to get on your bad side THEBIRD, but I don't understand what you were saying.

Then I guess you won't be voting for John McCain or Rudy if they run?

As far as Condi, she is my holdout for the GOP. I'm praying she will run. I just can't see voting for anyone else as they are being so moderate in the GOP right now and nobody can get through to them to stop spending and actually cut the budget.....it keeps getting bigger and bigger.

I'm really at a loss at what to do but I won't voter for a moderate anymore.

Right now, the only GOP candidate I would support is Tom Tancredo of Colorado. Since he probably won't get nominated let alone run, I'll be voting Constitutionalist if things don't change.

:smirky: Last I heard, McCain was pro-life. And whatever gave you the idea I'd vote for Giuliani? You apparently didn't see THIS THREAD (http://www.freeconservatives.com/vb/showthread.php?t=13819&highlight=Giuliani+Iowa). The fireworks begin on page three.

I'm the same on Tancredo, but wont hold out any hopes since the GOP has all but banished and ostracised him from any meaningful position of power and/or influence.

I will re-iterate I'm sticking with the Constitutional party, the libertarians are liberal-lite in my opinion and not any better.

Since when did I say I hated America?

Liberals have anywhere in the world to go to hate America and vote for politicians who bribe them with their own tax dollars, and where most people love to hate America. Conservatives only have here. There is about nowhere else for us to go.

GOP = Spend! Spend! Spend!, but the Rats = Spend and Tax MORE! Spend and Tax MORE! Spend and Tax MORE!

BTW, the only reason there is at the moment to vote for the GOP, IMO, is that the Rats are much worse.
