Boston - AP) - Some faculty members at Boston College are objecting to the school's decision to award an honorary degree to the Secretary of State.
A letter entitled "Condoleezza Rice Does Not Deserve a Boston College Honorary Degree" has been signed by nearly 100 faculty members. The letter was written by two prominent theology professors.
The Reverend Kenneth Himes and the Reverend David Hollenbach write that Secretary Rice's approach to international affairs is in "fundamental conflict" with the college's commitment to "Catholic and Jesuit traditions."
Not all BC faculty members support the letter. Political science professor Marc Landy calls it a "grotesque mistake" and is asking colleagues not to sign it.
Rice is scheduled to deliver the school's commencement address on May 22nd.

I heard this on the Laura Ingraham radio show this morning. She had the incoming and outgoing student presidents debating this. The outgoing student president was for it, and the incoming student president was against it. He had a Hispanic name, but I forget what it was.
Anyway, Laura asked him to explain why they were against giving Condi and honorary degree. Folks, I never heard anyone make such a complete and priceless @$$ of himself. He sounded like a retard. No, really. He didn't make any sense at all and he just repeated the lines he obviously learned by heart instead of answering Laura's question. Naturally, Laura kicked his sorry ass to Kingdom come.

TRANSLATION: She is a conservative and a member of the Bush administration. Therefore, we don't want her here.
Liberal Catholics suck! They pretend to disguise their hatred as Catholicism. But I bet these morons have nothing against abortion, which is anathema to Catholic religion.
I was watching TV shortly after I got home. I saw John Gibson interview some blonde bimbo from Boston College. She said something to the effect that students who had spent all these years studying at the college ( ) had a right to reject hearing someone who would spoil their graduation ceremony.
Gibson replied "Wait a minute. You're telling me that students will have their graduation spoiled because they hear something they don't like, a different idea?" The bimbo replied "Of course."
'Nuff said.
