Responding to a WorldNetDaily report, Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., is demanding the Bush administration fully disclose the activities of an office implementing a trilateral agreement with Mexico and Canada that apparently could lead to a North American union, despite having no authorization from Congress.

As WND reported, the White House has established working groups, under the North American Free Trade Agreement office in the Department of Commerce, to implement the Security and Prosperity Partnership, or SPP, signed by President Bush, Mexican President Vicente Fox and then-Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin in Waco, Texas, March 23, 2005.

The groups, however, have no authorization from Congress and have not disclosed the results of their work despite two years of massive effort within the executive branches of the U.S., Mexico and Canada...

To make North America secure for the future, we need integrated, coordinated and seamless measures in place at, within, and beyond our borders to provide our people and our infrastructure with the highest possible common level of protection from terrorists and other criminal elements, as well as from the common threats of nature.

To make North America prosperous for the future, we need to improve the efficiency of the movement of people, goods and services crossing our borders. We must remove barriers to trade, investment, research and education. We must protect our environment and promote the health and safety of our people.

Increased economic integration and security cooperation will further a unique and strong North American relationship - a relationship that meets your stated goals while preserving our political and cultural identities.

We recognize that this Partnership is designed to be a dynamic, permanent process and that the attached workplans are but a first step. We know that after today, the real work begins. We will now need to transform the ideas into reality and the initiatives into prosperity and security...

Something more authoritative than NetWorldDaily is necessary to take this seriously. Itīs real hard to believe.

Scuse me but Worldnetdaily is on top of the news, better than Fox news it appears.

What news source would YOU feel to be more truthful? CNN?

'Scuse me, but WorldNetDaily is chockful of obvious errors that have been pointed out here numerous times.

For news, I trust my own judgment after reading internet reports and then following the discussions here on FreeCon and Lucianne.com. I don't watch tv news and don't listen to radio news. I do trust Rush Limbaugh, however.

I like how closet globalists attack the news source (which has citations and evidence) in the name of Republicanism, while avoiding the topic.

I'm not a closet globalist but I do think that our alternate media should be competent.

By competent you doubtless mean "perfect". It'll never happen. We are after all imperfect humans.

NO media is perfect but I trust WND is more accurate than the MainStreamMedia ever will be.

So is the National Enquirer, but that doesn't mean I trust them. If all of this turns out to be true, it'll hit the MSM soon enough, you can all crow that WND reported it first and you can strut about, thumping your chest at how right you were. And hey, more power to you. Knock yourself out. I'll wait for something more credible though.

Seems Doom provided something more credible, or is Human Events Online still not good enough?

We'll see this on the MSM about the time they do the ribbon cutting ceremony...

I have no real problem with Human Events Online, but they are somewhat biased and I'd just like further corroboration. I'd certainly like to know what comes out of Tancredo's queries. I'm not saying any of this isn't necessarily true. Stranger things have happened. I'd just like to see more before I buy into it. I'll keep an open mind though.
