Fla. restaurant sells $100 hamburger - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060621/ap_on_fe_st/100_burger_1)

BOCA RATON, Fla. - A hundred bucks might buy you more than six dozen burgers from McDonald's, but the the swanky Old Homestead Steakhouse will sell you one brawny beef sandwich for the same price.

Boca Raton Mayor Steven Abrams could barely speak between bites as he devoured the 20-ounce, $100 hamburger billed as the "beluga caviar of sandwiches."

And the poop when it comes out! Ohh! It's to die for!:limp:

What kind of imbeciles with money have the erotic obsession to join any resort for $40,000 plus annual dues?

From the article:
"The bill for one burger, with garnishing that includes organic greens, exotic mushrooms and tomatoes, comes out to $124.50 with tax and an 18 percent tip included. The restaurant will donate $10 from each sale to the Make-A-Wish Foundation."

This last part is nice though. However with $124.50, I think they could maybe do a little bit better than $10, :smirky: .

Wonder what the libbies would say if instead of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, they were donating it to help offset the deficit, LOL. Or perhaps to provide additional safety equipment for the military!

Sorry but that meat in the 'hamburger' looks like a burnt crispy thing that I wouldnt eat for anything if they paid me to eat it.

Ferget it, they can KEEP their $100 dollar Hamburger.

Where's the bacon, the grilled onions and the 1/2" thick slice of partly melted Tillamook Cheddar? Without those, it's nothing more than a $4.95 generic burger with a couple of grilled 'shrooms on top.

I don't care what it looks like. I ain't stupid enough to pay $100 for a hamburger, unless it's this (http://www.100dollarhamburger.com/) kind.

'shrooms on top.Ah-HAH! Maybe that's the real draw in the deal! And they throw in a free glass pipe as part of this Hippy-Happy Meal.
