Jury Selection to Begin in Yates Retrial

HOUSTON — The second trial of the woman who drowned her five children in a bathtub in 2001 has netted a pool of 120 potential jurors, court officials said.

Attorneys on Thursday were to begin whittling down the pool in the retrial of Andrea Yates, whose 2002 conviction was overturned on appeal last year because of erroneous testimony.

The defense couldn't sell insanity in the first tiral. I don't believe they'll sell it to a Harris County jury this go-round either.
