There was a school of thought in the 16th century that thought that the shape of the building could affect those within it. So a hospital may be built in the form of a human body (for example).

An French architect designed a building for curing mens vices. Prostitution etc. He designed the building in the shape of a large erect....well Im sure you can guess what.

The Dutch too have the tallest average height of any nation on Earth though, with 6' being the average, or so I've heard.
