E. Pierce Marshall, who feuded for years with former Playboy Playmate Anna Nicole Smith over his father's oil fortune, has died, his spokesman said Friday. He was 67.
Marshall died unexpectedly earlier this week in the Dallas area from a brief and extremely aggressive infection, the family said in a written statement released through spokesman David Margulies. He declined to provide additional details about Marshall's death on Tuesday.

Once my dad saw me ogling the girls in mom's "Glamor" magazine. He couldn't figure out why I wanted to "read" the magazine, and he began to have his doubts about me.

From an adolescent boy's perspective, the explanation would have seemed almost as bad as what he must have been thinking, so I kept mum.

In retrospect, the funny part was that dad started buying Playboy and leaving the issues around.
