On February 15 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/February_15), 2006 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006), Weaver signed a 1-year deal with the Angels for $8.5-million. After posting a 3-10 record with a 6.29 ERA with the Angels, he was designated for assignment on June 30. Jeff's younger brother, Jered Weaver (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jered_Weaver) was recalled to the Angels roster to replace Jeff in the starting rotation.
On July 5 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/July_5), 2006 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006), the St. Louis Cardinals (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Louis_Cardinals) aquired Weaver from the Angels in exchange for minor leaguer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minor_League_Baseball) Terry Evans (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Terry_Evans&action=edit) and cash considerations. He debuted with the team not as a pitcher, but as a pinch hitter (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pinch_hitter) in a 14-inning game between the Cardinals and Dodgers on July 13, 2006 at Busch Stadium (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Busch_Stadium). The Cardinals would end up winning the game 3-2 on an Albert Pujols (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albert_Pujols) game-ending home run. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeff_Weaver

Mondays game july 17: The Cardinals had won their first seven games since right-hander Jeff Weaver arrived in a trade with the Angels. But when Weaver took the mound for the Cardinals for the first time Monday night, the streak came to an abrupt halt. Losing a full-count, foul-ball-laden battle in the third inning with Atlanta catcher Brian McCann, Weaver surrendered a grand slam that was the fulcrum for a 15-3 Atlanta victory. Weaver, who took the place of spotty Sidney Ponson, hadn't pitched in 20 days.

The guy just plain sucks. He should go back to the minors.
I watched him play for the angels, dude just wouldnt stop erroring.
His brother Jered Weaver on the otherhand is much better then his older brother Jeff.
