I can't believe it but I can't wait for this movie to release.

Stone is one of my favorite directors, so I am happy to hear this film is getting some positive feedback. I was a little skeptical after seeing the trailer for it. I mean, that trailer was quite saccharine and laid it on pretty thick in my opinion.

I'm glad that Oliver Stone has finally made a movie that I would enjoy watching. His previous films have been nothing but egregious left-wing propaganda.

I don't think I care one whit about putting any more money in Stone's back pocket.

It'll come on television sooner or later. I can wait.

I refuse to finance ANY of Oliver (this is how I think it happened) Stone's speculation filed fantasies. The man is a joke. He doesn't even make a half assed attempt at fitting in any "truth" on his cinematic "documentaries".

Ditto. I doubt the movie includes the criminality of terrorists. The Oliver Stone I know would give them a free pass in this movie.

Double-ditto, here. I personally have absolutely NO desire to see anything made by Oliver Stone, even if he HAS come to his senses or made a decent movie. Guess I'm one of those strange ducks, after having lived history, I have no desire to watch it again as "entertainment."

What Peach said, except the Stone I've seen the last 20 years will present the terrorists as heroes and the WTC victims as "little Eichmanns." I had enough of this sick bastard long ago.

I am curious to see how Mr. Stone treats the hero of the rescue, Staff Sargent Karnes. I have read a couple of accounts of what he did and he is one brave marine.

From a NewsMax email:

1. Oliver Stone Assures the Left He ‘Didn’t Cave’

With news that Oliver Stone’s latest film is a conservative crowd pleaser, a story has leaked out that Creative Response Systems, the same PR firm that coordinated the promotion of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, has been working on promo for “World Trade Center.”

In a recent review, I lauded Stone for a film well done and for cinematically conveying, in such a powerful way, the triumph of faith, love of family, and valor in the face of mortal danger.

I was no lone conservative in my praise of Stone. L. Brent Bozell of the Media Research Center called the film “a masterpiece,” and syndicated columnist Cal Thomas dubbed it “one of the greatest pro-American . . . films you will ever see.”

An interview with The New York Times, however, suggests that Stone may have some concerns regarding what his fellow libs might think about the conservative kudos he’s receiving.

The director assured the newspaper that he didn’t know the publicity firm for his movie had also handled the Swift Boat campaign.

Stone said that he had been told that the firm was retained because of the job done in promoting Disney's “The Chronicles of Narnia.”

"Believe me,” Stone entreated, “I didn't cave." He pointed out that he had condemned the attack on John Kerry's war record.

As if distancing himself from the PR decision, Stone referred to Paramount's marketing department with the following phrase: “They do it their way.”He is and ever shall be a liberal asswipe.

Which is the exact reason he won't get a penny of my money!

Laura Ingraham mentioned this morning she saw the movie and basically said it was a bad made-for-TV type movie. She said she wanted to like the movie but just couldn't.

Medved said that the movie is excellent and utterly free of propaganda.

Medved said that the movie is excellent and utterly free of propaganda.Which is why Stone is sucking up to his liberal cohorts and whining, "I didn't cave! Please like me!" They prefer crap like Mooron's agitprop.

Thanks for the update, Doc.

Stone is not getting one single dime from me. I don't care what conservative pundits say.

Partisan? Moi? You bet your tolerant little ass I am.

Pardon my ignorance, but....

According to the leftists, it was "too early" and "People were still emotionally scarred" for UNITED FLIGHT 93. That was released last spring (I think). But the TIME IS JUST RIGHT FOR OLIVER STONE JUST A FEW MONTHS LATER.

Pardon my ignorance, but...

Did all those poor people heal that quickly? Or has there been a sudden jump in Paxil scrips?
