Police Charge Woman With Dumping Hot Cooking Oil on Sleeping Husband

Wednesday, August 02, 2006

BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. — Authorities are searching for a Hancock County woman who allegedly dumped a pot of heated cooking oil on her sleeping husband.

"I've been in law enforcement 14 years and that was the worse thing I've ever seen," Hancock County Sheriff's Department investigator Ricky Fayard said of last Friday's attack. "His skin was dripping off of him."

"When we got there he was in bad shape. His entire hand, the skin came off, and it looked like a glove," Fayard said........http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,206720,00.html

This reminds me of a tenant I once had and she did this exact same thing. She said she had gotten fed up with the lazy bum and his drinking, so when he passed out in a drunken stupor and failed to respond when she called him for dinner, she poured the hot grease on him. He woke up and suddenly he was no longer drunk but screaming from intense pain. They later moved and got a divorce.

This guy may not survive, so it sounds worse. How bad was the guy you knew?

It burned his cheek and left arm. I had to evict them both because they fought all the time and tore up a lot of my property. I felt sorry for the poor guy but he did not press charges on the wife.

Dang why didnt this woman just LEAVE?

Why bother staying married if they're gonna get that mean towards each other??

I dont understand how two people who were in love once, married could end up this way for.

I cant seem to find the rest of the story it gets cut off on Fox's website at this point:

Sanders' husband, whose name has not been released, was airlifted to the burn center at the University of South Alabama in Mobile for treatment of third-degree burns, officials said.

(Story continues below)

It's only one sentence after that. "His condition was listed as day to day."

Fox's website inserts that "more below" thing at a certain point in every article over a specific length. Sometimes it does ugly things if the story is only one sentence longer than the cutoff.

Farrah played the abused wife who torched her husband. She was found not guilty by reason of temporary insanity.

Farrah herself dumped Lee Majors so that she could shack up with Ryan O'Neal and have a dysfunctional kid with him.
