BAGHDAD, Iraq - Hundreds of thousands of Shiites chanting "Death to Israel" and "Death to America" marched through the streets of Baghdad's biggest Shiite district Friday in a massive show of support for Hezbollah in its battle against Israel.

No violence was reported during the rally in Sadr City. But at least 26 people were killed elsewhere in the country, most of them in a car bombing and gunbattle in Mosul in the north.

The demonstration was the biggest in the Middle East in support of Hezbollah since Israel launched its attacks against the guerrillas in Lebanon on July 12. The protest was organized by radical Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr, whose political movement built around the Mahdi Army militia has been modeled after Hezbollah.

Al-Sadr summoned followers from throughout the Shiite heartland of southern Iraq to converge on Baghdad for the rally but he himself did not attend.
Demonstrators, wearing white shrouds symbolizing willingness to die for Hezbollah, waved the guerrillas' yellow banner and chanted slogans in support of their leader Sheik Hassan Nasrallah, which has attained a cult status in the Arab world for its defiance of Israeli military power.

"Allah, Allah, give victory to Hassan Nasrallah," the crowd chanted.

"Mahdi Army and Hezbollah are one, let them confront us if they dare," the predominantly male crowd shouted, waving the flags of Hezbollah, Lebanon and Iraq. Many walked with umbrellas in the searing afternoon sun. Volunteers sprayed them with water.

"I am wearing the shroud and I am ready to meet martyrdom," said Mohammed Khalaf, 35, owner of a clothes shop in the southern city of Amarah.

Al-Sadr followers painted U.S. and Israeli flags on the main road leading to the rally site, and demonstrators stepped on them — a gesture of contempt in Iraq. Alongside the painted flags was written: "These are the terrorists."

Yeah, these people are worth the lives of our American soldiers. Gosh, they've become so peaceful and enlightened.

It will never happen. Not with these butt-kissing fanatics. You can save a fanatic, and he will sting you like a scorpion. As soon as we leave the country, the dictatorial assholes will ooze out of the woodwork and turn Iraq into its former Hell-hole. I say we assassinate the scumbags for good measure. Starting with al-Sadr.

They have become Iranianized.

Its radioactive, toxic agitprop that swallows the illiterate scum of humanity whole.

This would be so easy to fix.

Here's how.

Fuk Iraq proper. Leave Baghdad alone.

Now, amass our troops right on the Eastern edge of Iraq. Swarm and swat Iran like we should have done Iraq the first time. Start with aerial strikes on the uranium sites, move in with troops into those areas, securing them.

Now, go kill every single mullah you can find. Stick their heads on poles and hammer them into the town sqaure.

Blanket bomb entire cities if need be.

Iran would crumble like a house of cards.

Then open up casinos and discos inside every mosque with blaring techno music 24/7 and strobe lights. Next to them, whorehouses.

Then, turn around and look back over your shoulder at Iraq. Watch all the dejected looks on the Shiite's faces as their heart is ripped right out of their chest.

If I may add; could we also fill their water mains and storage basins (the two or three places they exist, of course) with Wild Turkey or some similar booze? Those people need to lighten up!

Not into the Indos, okay.

How about Thai?

Bangkok, Thailand (AHN) - Four people are killed in two bomb attacks in southern Thailand, a stronghold of Muslim separatists.

A bomb hidden along a railroad in Songkhla province killed three Thai policeman who were inspecting the tracks. A fourth officer was injured. Trains from Bangkok to Sungai Kolok were halted as a result of the attack. Authorities estimate repairs will take at least one day.

In a separate attack, an army officer is killed when a bomb explodes at a school construction site in Pattani town.
The bombings come a day after suspected Islamic militant separatists conducted at least 100 attacks.

Careful, its kind of spicey. And the media might call it 'a civil war' or something real big and scary and awful and stuff. Wait, its not in Baghdad though. Uh, strike that.

Hey, let's sneak in to all muslim-minded countries under cover of headress, lace their honey and flat-bread with kilos of valium or xanax (perhaps alprazolam to save some national budget bucks), and put them to work making Nikes and cheap t-shirts.

That way we don't have to deal with carcass disposal, and we get cheap goods in the process. Sweeeeet.

What are the odds this clown has NO idea what that sign says?
If he were to be interviewed by the convenient journalist, I'd say he couldn't speak a word of English.
Good bet 99% of the people carrying these signs and yelling their slogans have not a CLUE what the signs say....what they are hollering, and maybe even WHY they are out there in the street doing their "thing".
Of course there's also the possibility that "off camera" are thugs intimidating them with threats of harm.

Either the thugs are threatening these people OR they may be getting paid to do these protests, money is a great motivator in those poor countries.
