I got a credit card from Juniper bank. Did an initial balance transfer to take advantage of the 0% for 6 months. They did not give me that 0%, which was fine because as soon as i realized that my first statement showed interest i payed the balance. The thing that really pissed me off was something that happened recently.
I noticed a $99.99 charge for something called TLG*GREATFUN. I had not used the card for months and made no such purchase. I called Juniper to tell them my information was vulnerable and they told me they knew nothing about it and to contact the TLG company to clear it up. They said that if the company did not recind the charge I could get a claim dispute form. So I called TLG and it turns out to be some kind of subscription discount service, and that JUNIPER HAD GIVEN THEM MY INFORMATION!! I told them to bite me and then did a little searching online. It turns out that this TLG gets info and then charges their monthly fee without notice or permission. One site had multiple victims but they had only been charged $9.99 a month and nowhere near the initial $99.99 that i had been.
So I call Juniper to cancel my card and they tell me they will put a hold on my account until this charge is finalized. I am about to my limit with these people, these lying cheating bastards that are going to pay. They will not get a dime from me.

Just a heads up to any of you who have Junpier bank for any service, or if you ever see a TLG*GREATFUN charge on any of your statements.

And ya wonder why I feel the credit card industry is one of the biggest pocketbook raping industries allowed to run in America?

They ALL cheat you to some extend.

IF you close your credit card account in order to not spend anymore but have a debt left to pay they will start tacking fees on your credit card account up the wazoo, in the hundreds of dollars.

Tacking fees onto ones credit card is the bread and butter of credit card companies, if you look at the overall profit margin they make from the percentages they yank from you everytime you use the credit card to the added extra fees and charges, you would be floored over the incredible cost that one person could be paying for that credit card.

You're loosing money to have a credit card.

One word of advice Eagle1 get a Check/Debit card from a reputable BANK with a visa or mastercard logo on it and be content with that and that ONLY.

Forget the credit cards, they're nothing but a buncha pocketbook-rapers operating legally with impunity in America.

Find a bank that has the debit/check card, and go for those and forget credit cards permanently.

Eagle1...call the Attorney General of your state AND the state in which Juniper is located and explain what happened and that you think you've been defrauded.

When the AGs of 2 states call them, they'll close your account...if they have any brains at all.
