Reuters admits altering Beirut photo
Reuters withdraws photograph of Beirut after Air Force attack after US blogs, photographers point out 'blatant evidence of manipulation.' Reuters' head of PR says in response, 'Reuters has suspended photographer until investigations are completed into changes made to photograph.' Photographer who sent altered image is same Reuters photographer behind many of images from Qana, which have also been subject of suspicions for being staged

WOW.... This is friggin Reuter's, this is horse shit. If they are enhancing the photos to make the damage look worse than certainly they are anti-Israel and sleeping with the enemy. If they are purposefully trying to make the Israeli Air-Strikes look worse than they are, what is to stop them from staging rescue worker photos, futhermore, their news stories must be full of bias.
This is awful.

This "photoshopographer" should get together with Dan Rather and start supermarket tabloid or something.

I could have sworn I already posted on this thread. Anyway, I don't understand why the photographer photoshopped the picture like that. He's done the smoke REALLY poorly, but then he's gone and copied the foreground really well, so you can't actually tell without looking at the original. Why do something that works and is unnoticeable and then mess it all up like that? It's like painting a masterpiece and then shooting it with a paintball gun. Also, why bother photoshopping it in the first place? I think the original gets the point across well enoguh.

Here is another Reuters photo that has some indications that it may have been manipulated... The caption is classic...
