Mel Gibson may have a problem with Jews — they’re responsible for all the wars, they’ve inflated the number of dead in the Holocaust, etc.
But Gibson likes one Jewish person a lot. His personal bodyguard for more than a decade turns out to be an Israeli.

I think the guy has made it quite cear that he doesn't dislike Jews.

I forget who posted it, but someone said that Mel was just pissed that the rookie cop was actually arresting him instead of letting him go like the rest usually do, and so, he was being as obnoxious as possible. Possibly noticing he was Jewish somehow and trying to offend him because he was tipsy and annoyed. This seemed to me a likely scenario.
