Gore isn't quite as green as he's led the world to believe (http://www.usatoday.com/news/opinion/editorials/2006-08-09-gore-green_x.htm)

By Peter Schweizer
Al Gore has spoken: The world must embrace a "carbon-neutral lifestyle." To do otherwise, he says, will result in a cataclysmic catastrophe. "Humanity is sitting on a ticking time bomb," warns the website for his film, An Inconvenient Truth. "We have just 10 years to avert a major catastrophe that could send our entire planet into a tailspin."
Graciously, Gore tells consumers how to change their lives to curb their carbon-gobbling ways: Switch to compact fluorescent light bulbs, use a clothesline, drive a hybrid, use renewable energy, dramatically cut back on consumption. Better still, responsible global citizens can follow Gore's example, because, as he readily points out in his speeches, he lives a "carbon-neutral lifestyle." But if Al Gore is the world's role model for ecology, the planet is doomed.
For someone who says the sky is falling, he does very little. He says he recycles and drives a hybrid. And he claims he uses renewable energy credits to offset the pollution he produces when using a private jet to promote his film. (In reality, Paramount Classics, the film's distributor, pays this.)
Public records reveal that as Gore lectures Americans on excessive consumption, he and his wife Tipper live in two properties: a 10,000-square-foot, 20-room, eight-bathroom home in Nashville, and a 4,000-square-foot home in Arlington, Va. (He also has a third home in Carthage, Tenn.) For someone rallying the planet to pursue a path of extreme personal sacrifice, Gore requires little from himself.

And I was just sure Al was on the up-and-up this time.

For someone rallying the planet to pursue a path of extreme personal sacrifice, Gore requires little from himself. Is that surprising? The elitists of the ecowacko fringe NEVER practice what they preach. They are after all the leaders, and therefore exempt from the demands that they place on the followers. Malibu Babs (http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=32899) is another hyperliberal, hypocritical world-saver who speaks of conservation and sacrifice from the comfort of her non-green oceanfront mansion.

IAC, AlBore has demonstrated what he really think of trees.

Gore thinks he's one of Plato's Guardians, the philosopher kings who run society from on high. Which is why he's always dripping snot on everybody.

Wish someone would do a documentary on Gore’s lavish lifestyle to point out the “Inconvenient Hypocrisy” that IS Al Gore.

Reminds me of George Soros who promotes socialism (yet made his fortune as a capitalist) and who wants to keep the death tax for the “Greater Good” (yet shelters his fortune offshore).

Being a liberal is a Religion requiring Faith because any objective examination of its pompous self-promoting prophets reveals a “Do as I say, not as I do” contradiction.

Liberals are intellectual fascists because it is not possible to be both a liberal and a free thinker. One has to drink the Kool-Aid accepting liberal “truths” without question which is why it’s useless to try to reason with them.

Libs cannot be reasoned with. They don't think. They can't think. They can only feel. IAC, for the majority of them, a hemorrhoid is a brain tumor.

From the article:

Graciously, Gore tells consumers how to change their lives to curb their carbon-gobbling ways: Switch to compact fluorescent light bulbs, use a clothesline, drive a hybrid, use renewable energy, dramatically cut back on consumption.

A few things though:

1. Everybody is buying compact flourescent bulbs not only because of the lower power consumption, but also because they outlast conventional lightbulbs by a factor of nine or more.

2. Today's latest clothes dryers are far more efficient than the old models.

3. People are actually buying more conventional fuel-efficient cars instead of expensive hybrids. Why do you think sales of the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla have gone through the roof?

4. Using renewable energy is not that practical given the ridiculous upfront costs. Do you know how much it costs for a solar energy installation on a house?

I began to have my doubts about him when he was ticketed for 70 mph in Oregon, where all the open highways (i.e., roads, not freeways, in rural areas) have a maximum 55 mph speed limit. Doesn't Gore believe that driving 55 saves gas?

RE:

He believes it for us. "Do as I say, not as I do" is the corenerstone of liberal elitism.

I'll never forgive the Tree for the low flo shower and the triple flush terd taker.

That's lefty legislation for you. So instead of a quick 5 minute power shower, I have to go twice as long to get the suds off and instead of one flush, I have to kick the handle 3 times at the gym because of the low waterline on the Al Gore 3.0 septic special. And ironically it wastes double the amount of water and time. Flippin sweet ass legislation right there.

Liberalism wastes time and energy in a trade-off for feelilng good about one's self. Its all irrelevant symbolism.

Preach it Brother Wyatt! I absolutey despise the "water saving" toilets. Minimum of two flushes no matter what.

It gets even worse. Where I work they are replacing flush urinals with politically-correct, green “waterless” ones.

With my bladder, I need the sound of a good flush or two just to get things going. They started on the ground floor and have been working up a floor at a time. Now I take the elevator up 3 floors just to pee like a normal man. (Guess I’ll just end up going all the way to the roof an pissing over the side when they’re done with this stupidity).

Anyway, if they start replacing the toilets with “waterless” ones I’m updating my resume.

Three quarters of the earth’s surface covered in water, and from what the global warming “experts” say all the world’s glaciers are melting – so why the need for these waterless urinals anyway?

Its just more evidence that Al Gore wanted us to be more like France: Our houses to stink like shit and only shower twice a week.

Stay away from Greens. They are the bony ones at Trader Joe's with flaky skin and split ends.

Their organic broccoli farts are the worst. And their yellow teeth.... Don't get me started on that.

This is the lefty retrograde demographic: Sick vegan fuks with bad hygiene, typically a lazy eye, jaundiced, flabby & pear-shaped, big gums and small teeth, sunken-in chests with thin fingernails, flimsy hunched over spines, viral, carriers of disease, easily afflicted with thrush, walking yeast infections, pigdeon toed, weak, unhappy, pale, mentally unstable, suffering from random bouts of vomit-like anger, self-loathers, atheistic, chronic atrial fibrillation, hot flashes, feeling like they are 'floating outside their bodies', not grounded, easily led, followers of trends, doorknobs, quasi-bookish, eaters of brussel sprouts, Starbucks clientele, impractical, pedantic, a euro-poser, a symbolist, someone who likes to chant, a yapper of groupthink, withdrawn, anti-individualist and a conformer.

Well said Barkle, especially "pompous self-promoting prophets". As I read the article the words that came to mind, and do everytime I hear AGore, were "Pompous Ahole".

There's an urban legend that John Wayne (http://www.snopes.com/horrors/gruesome/fecalcolon.asp) had 40 lbs of crap in him when he croaked. Had that been true, I have no idea how the waste would have been taken away.

That's true only of some models. The newest ones from Kohler, TOTO and American Standard do a pretty good job with 1.5 gallon flush because they designed it properly to flush completely in that little amount of water.
