GOP voters: like a rock (http://www.usnews.com/usnews/news/articles/060809/9whisper.htm)
Many Democrats may hate the war in Iraq and itch to dump the president, but a new GOP survey shows that Republican base voters stand ready to jam the November polls to return their team to Congress.
....................
By a margin of 84 percent to 6 percent, they will pull the GOP toggle switch in the voting booth. And here is something you don't hear very often: 88 percent of Republicans approve of how the prez is handling his job.

No, we certainly don't hear that very often. Not even in this website. Ask Americon. :D

I’m optimistic that in November the American people will once again prove that they ain’t buying what the left’s been selling.
I don’t take much stock in these polls showing how the Democrats are going to make a great come-back. The polls were all wrong in 2000, 2002 and 2004 and they will be wrong again in 2006.
After today’s terrorist incident, no thinking American would trust their lives and their children’s lives to Hillary Clinton, John Kerry or Howard Dean.

So true. After 00,02 and 04 they still think polls will predict the future.

I think that some of them believe that their skewed polls will be a self-fulfilling prophesy, convincing many people to go with the winners, the popular set, the trendy people. Fashion.

Let me ask you guys, have you ever been polled?

After today’s terrorist incident, no thinking American would trust their lives and their children’s lives to Hillary Clinton, John Kerry or Howard Dean. How widely covered is it in the DBM? I'd bet that if one picked a hundred people on an average city street, 90 of them would not know that it happened. The libeRATs control the populace by keeping them ignorant.
Let me ask you guys, have you ever been polled? No, and I'd lie my ass off if I were. I have zero respect for polls.
Still wringing your hands over the Kerry loss, Americon? If Ronald Reagan were alive today and running for POTUS, would you vote for him?
Maggie_T

Yes, he would. And then the very next day after innaguration, he'd be bitching against Reagan and calling him names because he didn't behave exactly as Americon expected him to. :D

I get polled by Zogby almost on a weekly basis for various issues not all political. Go to the Zogby website if you want to participate.

Man, you must be a liberal. Like them, you have NO sense of humor.

I guess you don't remember, but unlike the Bush clan, Reagan almost always DID do what he said he would do. More, he never caved to political correctness or the MSM.
Why do you persist in distorting history? George W. Bush, Like Ronald Reagan, did exactly what he promised he would do.
About 90% of every thing you say about Bush was said almost word for word about Reagan.
He spent more than any pres before him. He drove up the deficit and they cried that he would destroy the middle class. He gave illegals amnesty. The msm and his detractors called him a stupid cowboy. He was called an economic globalist.

Here's my theory on why these polls seem to always be in error:
Liberals tend to be more vocal than conservatives. If a pollster calls a liberal, they are more than happy to share thier views. If a pollster calls a conservative, they'll probably hangup and go back to the 4 lbs. of steak on their grill. It's an inherent flaw in the system that the polling cos. try to adjust for, but do a lousy job of. The closer you get to election day, the more accurate the polls get, because people are in the mood for expressing their opinions. But when you're as far away from election day as we are now, I believe that the polls will always be biased to the left.

He set up an amnesty program for illegal aliens.

Yes, I remember him saying we were going to stay the course in Lebanon and not pull those Marines out. A week later, he pulled those Marines out.

RE:

…better to do your talking quietly in the voting booth then blithering on Oprah with hugs and tears over “white guilt” and how we’re raping the environment, the Indians, the Islamofascists and the land we “stole” from the Mexicans.
And no, I’ve never been contacted by a pollster because I live in a rural area where people work for a living and aren’t sitting around watching Oprah waiting for the phone to ring to share emotional convulsions and self-guilt with liberal pollsters.
The polls will ALWAYS say that the Dems will win – because the same losers sitting at home listening to lawyer commercials soliciting “victims” are the same ones on the pollsters calling list.
The best use of these polls is to take whatever they predict and know that the truth is exactly opposite.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE NOT YET CAUGHT ON TO THE CONARTIST'S BLIND HATE FOR BUSH, HERE'S YOUR CLUE:
MSGT says: " . . . About 90% of every thing you say about Bush was said almost word for word about Reagan. . . . "
To which the ConArtist replies:
" . . . All of that might be true, but even so . . . "
As you can see, it's not the Bush Policy or the Bush Doctrine, it's BUSH.
And I still say the Asswipe is a Lib, fuming because Algore or Kerry isn't President. ConARtist brings nothing to the discussion except blind hate for Bush.

READ MY LIPS.... BUSH WAS A LIAR.
In other words, get a clue.
Since George W. Bush did everything that he promised to do, that means that he isn't the liar. So, I wonder who that defines as the liar. Could it be our resident conman? Of course it could.

Sorry Maggie. After months of attacks for posting nothing more than Reagan Conservatism... :rotflmbo: :hahaha: You're joking, of course. :hahaha: :rotflmbo:
Being a Reagan conservative myself (and before that, a Goldwater conservative), I haven't seen ANYTHING from you that even comes close to resembling Reagan conservatism. Lubbock is right. All you have to offer is irrational, blind hatred of President Bush. If we wanted Bush hatred, we could get all we wanted, and more, from Michael Moore or George Soros.
Actually, President Bush is considerably closer to President Reagan in political philosophy than you are.

Yeah, NT. He's joking.
But we're not supposed to be smart enough to catch on to it.
If there's one thing in this world that I can't tolerate, it's a damned phony.
