Acceptance Speech
I must apologize to everyone because I had not really followed the Poster of the Month section very closely – until I noticed my name in the title!
I am honored (and humbled) that some found my opinions of interest and chose me for this distinction.
I suppose I might use this occasion to correct my name – when I signed up, I misspelled it leaving off the “y” at the end – but never corrected it as Barkle seemed more informal then Barkley (if the name sounds familiar, I am related to Alben Barkley, Truman’s Veep on my mother’s side. Before I’m banned for the lineage, Democrats were not communists back then.).
I am somewhat active here in the Great Lakes state (Michigan for those of you in Reolinda) with the Dick DeVos for gov campaign and the Michigan Civil Rights Initiative.
I am my children’s father (and my wife is my children’s mother) so I guess I qualify as a minority in today’s "progressive" America.
Thanks to everyone for making this site an island of conservatism in a cesspool of liberal pond scum.

Thumbs up, dude! BTW, the username can be edited if you really want it, although we're accustomed to it as it is.
