View Full Version : Actor George Clooney to Address Security Council On Darfur
Nobel Laureate and United Nations Messenger of Peace Elie Wiesel, along with actor George Clooney will address the Security Council on the crisis in Darfur during a closed-door session on Thursday, officials with the world body announced today.
On Monday, Secretary-General Kofi Annan warned the Security Council that the situation in Darfur has reached a critical moment. "It is vital that we all speak candidly about what is happening, and about what it will take to bring an end to the suffering of so many millions of people," he said, appealing for the Sudanese Government to accept a UN force, but the Khartoum Government remains opposed.

Why is George Clooney addressing the Security Council on Darfur, and yet Secretary of State Rice is not?

Since when is looney Clooney an expert on human-rights abuses in Sudan?

I saw a clip of his impassioned speech on the news. It included a plea, "We have always believed in you (the U.N.) so much..." or something close to that. Whatever his exact words were, he exposed himself for the ignorant fool that he and the rest of the braindead lefties are.

So what you going to do about it, Kofi? Wasn't it you who said that after Rwanda that this kind of genocide would never again happen? Quitcherbitchin and do something about it.

That alone tells me that Sudan doesn't deserve help if the government wants to sit and do nothing which is typical of most African governments.

Since when is looney Clooney an expert on human-rights abuses in Sudan? He's an Unholywood "star". Therefore he is an expert on everything.
"I'm not a doctor, but I play one on television" (Vicks Cough Syrup ad). C-looney is not an expert, but he probably played one in a movie.
"I'm certainly the last person to give advice on, well, anything. I'm not smart enough, and I don't know enough about what's going on."

Unfortunately, the asswart doesn't let ignorance deter him.

The fact that the Asswart is appealing to the U. N. only shows his ignorance.
Could there be a more useless entity on the planet to plead to regarding Human Rights?
Isn't Darfur one of the countries where U. N. goons were raping children?

There isn't but one country with deep pockets, and humanitarian sympathetic hearts upon which to pilfer and play upon -- USA. I want to know why WE have to be the ones to solve the world's problems, provide the world's solutions, and then have to PAY for it!
