...the witty and flamboyant Democrat...
 I don't consider mean-spirited sarcasm to be a form of wit.

She was bad for the state and bad for America. She openly accused the Bush family of using ilegal tactics to beat her in her run for re-election, when she was the one spreading malicious rumors and lies. I'm sorry she died but I'm glad she's not around to open her big mouth anymore.

Isnt she the brainiac who tried to take guns away from Texans? Didnt someone tell her that was like outlawing cheesemaking in Wisconsin?
This thread needs a special forum all its own... It wont be there alone for long... Hopefully in the near future we can insert a threat announcing the death of Castro to keep it company... The Lefty Obit Forum...
Just a thought...

My fondest memory of Ann Richards is that she inadvertently revealed the intellectual brilliance of George W. Bush. The whole world "knew" that Ann Richards was brilliant and "knew" that she would easily win her gubernatorial debates with George W. Bush. It turned out that George W. Bush completely dominated those debates, just as he dominated AlGore in their debates and John Kerry in their last 2 debates (their first debate ended in a draw).

Hmmm. Never saw a picture of her before. Makes me hungry.
Stick one of these (http://www.joyofbaking.com/images/butter1.jpg) on her head and pour some of this (http://www.littlemissartypants.com/images/gravy.JPG) all over it and you got yourself some carbs.

Ok, my mommy taught me that if I cannot say anything nice about someone, I'd better not say anything.
So I'm not saying anything. ;)

Some on FR (lots photoshop and the images are absolutely hysterical -- like Bush holding a roach with Pelosi's face on it...) and some from blogs that I read. Some (like tshirts) are also from conservative sites. I try to get permission first... and yeah I love the above gif too. :D

If Clayton Williams hadn't opened HIS big mouth a week before the election, she would've been another also-ran.

I don't remember under whose administration that the TDCJ turned Kenneth Allen McDuff loose, but it was under Richards administration when prison building went into overdrive, thanks to Texas turning a serial killer loose.
I will always remember her campaign promise: "If you commit a crime in Texas, we got a place to lock you up."
She wasn't one of my favorite people. She was a Democrat, through and through.
Does anyone remember her telling the story about dove hunting [I think] in Beaumont? Like her or not, that was one of the funniest stories I ever heard. Falling off the chair funny.
Rest in peace.
