No more chasing down the criminals. The criminal might be hurt.

Have the candy asses looked at their fireams also? Those things might contain real bullets. Or do they carry them at all?

Police officers who launch chases over roofs, railway lines and busy roads could be sacked for putting the health and safety of criminals at risk, it has emerged.
This is really scary. And to think that I wanted to live in England. Now, I wouldn't do that to please a dying grandmother.
Ok, first, they got rid of ... pardon me, they took all weapons from law-abiding citizens, leaving them defenseless.
Now, they are protecting criminals (and I suppose that includes Islamofascist terrorists, the darlings of the left) to the point of making it impossible (literally) for the police to hunt criminals (including terrorists) down.
Used-To-Be-Great Britain, your death knell is ringing.
It is interesting to read the readers' comments.
I wonder what markus thinks of this.

Monty Python thought it was a parody when a bobby shouted, "Stop, or I'll say stop again!" It has now come to that in real life.
I'm eagerly awaiting the comments of the pro-Europissant libs.

Nah, he'll steer clear away from it. Or worse, he'll come up with some wussy, new-age, defeatist imbecility.

I'm not surprised. It's illegal for 95% of the policemen to even carry guns on duty.
Also bear in mind that America is becoming like England in regards to chasing illegals at the border...

Ditto that, Doc...I thought that skit was hilarious because we all KNEW the police would never do that. Sad thing how prescient the Python's were. Their skits on elections are very close to reality, too.

Well in their defense, it is only a proposed policy being put forward by their homegrown safety nazis... And the majority of the body of the article is devoted to numerous people and groups who are outraged by the proposal...
Maybe common sense will prevail and someone in the British government will wake up and realize that chasing criminals is the primary purpose of the police... Its kinda traditional, ya know...

Another problem: if they catch the criminals, they're instructed to release them.
Burglars will be allowed to escape without punishment under new instructions sent to all police forces. Police have been told they can let them off the threat of a court appearance and instead allow them to go with a caution.
The same leniency will be shown to criminals responsible for more than 60 other different offences, ranging from arson through vandalism to sex with underage girls.
New rules sent to police chiefs by the Home Office set out how seriously various crimes should be regarded, and when offenders who admit to them should be sent home with a caution.
A caution counts as a criminal record but means the offender does not face a court appearance which would be likely to end in a fine, a community punishment or jail.
Some serious offences - including burglary of a shop or office, threatening to kill, actual bodily harm, and possession of Class A drugs such as heroin or cocaine - may now be dealt with by caution if police decide that would be the best approach.'Let burglars off with caution', police told (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=381799&in_page_id=1770)
The criminals are breathing deep sighs of relief in Blighty.

I can't believe this. I just can't. It's astounding. England is going to become a haven for criminals like Tortuga was a haven for piracy.
The sun has set on the British Empire.

Well, this lack of court appearances ought to at least give the white-wigged, black robed baboons more time to dig in their buttholes.

I read somewhere in the last few months that the police in London also let criminals go free so that the crime statistics can be shown to be lower than they actually are. It has something to do with the fact that they banned the ownership of guns and they want people to believe that they're safe, even though they really aren't.

Well, it IS true. No gun statistics, no crime statistics, no guns, period. Their crime charts should put ours to shame.
