Anyone have any of the DirectTV sports packages? I’ve been thinking of getting the new Superfan one (link: www.heybuttercup.com (http://www.heybuttercup.com) ). Anyone have it? How is it?

I have NFL Sunday Ticket and I love it, except when they cut a game off because it's on network TV. That's not so bad when the networks air an entire game, because you can plan for that. But when the networks decide to cut over to the game you're watching on DirecTV, DirecTV immediately shuts the game off, while you're in the middle of watching it. That's a pain in the ass, especially if you were recording it or pausing it with your Tivo.

Oh, that sounds bad. Do you have Superfan or just Sunday Ticket? I would just get Sunday Ticket, but I got a 67" HDTV not two months ago and you can only get all the games in HD with Superfan. I guess considering all the money I'll save on sports bars it probably pays for itself.

I just have regular Sunday Ticket. I have an HDTV and an HD satellite receiver/antenna, but the offerings for HD on DirecTV are just too skimpy to justify the extra monthly charge for HD. They only offer seven HD channels, and most of those I'm not interested in. SuperFan just isn't worth $100 as far as I'm concerned.

I dunno, since I'm playing Fantasy Football I think I'd actually use all the features that come with Superfan, so it's a good deal for me. Speaking of which, anyone know how the 8 games on 1 screen works with the audio? Is it silent, or a mix, or what?

As I recall, it plays music in the background.

Cool thanks. I ordered the Superfan package today. Tried to get my buddy to chip in for it, but he wasn't having it. I don't blame him, I'd rather use it for free. :) At least I get to handle the remote.
